That Jets game felt exactly like the buttfumble game. I had a constant look of disgust on my face as Geno wouldn't throw the ball and when he did, he threw it to blue jerseys. The only way we will win games is if we don't turn over the ball. Massive if.

If it was 8-10 I would start Edelman with confidence but you might have to roll the dice on Wallace to get 15 plus, the Saints defense has been stingy with WRs though.Take it to the house wrote:Will need about 15 points from my flex, who to go for, Edelman/Wallace, tough decision! Awful play calling by Atlanta. Only rushing 3 on 3rd and 19 giving Brady 9 seconds to throw?! Utterly ridiculous

The Falcons really do make some batshit crazy calls
Like throwing to the rookie TE on 3rd down and goal basically, instead of you know the HOF TE who already has 2 TD's and 150 yards

We didn't deserve to beat you guys in the end.Number-25 wrote:Oh dear... Raiders have a 4th and inches at the Redskins 15 trailing by 10 with 3 mins left and...... Matt Flynn fumbles on the QB sneak.
Flynn was terrible. His O line did him few favours, sure, but even when he had time or he made throws he wasn't moving the sticks. Hell, I could just check it down to Jennings all game for £6m a year. Who'd have thought Pryor would be so vital to us after 4 games?
The defense was pretty good though. Forced a turnover with good hustle, pressured RG3 in the pocket plenty and didn't give up the big play. We even stopped the run for a portion of the game! But when the offense can't stay on the field for more than 4 downs then your D hasn't got a chance.

Re: Ongoing NFL Discussion Thread IV
Pretty fair assessment soddy. The commentators made a few comments about Flynn holding on to the ball too long and though it's often hard to tell when just watching on the telly, it did look that way. Our secondary has been a car crash so far this season so I find it hard to believe that they were as good as Flynn made them look. We did get good pressure but I'm sure of that was down to Flynn holding the ball too long.sodhat wrote:We didn't deserve to beat you guys in the end.Number-25 wrote:Oh dear... Offensively the game was a real eyesore - on top of Flynn's struggles, the Redskins got nothing going until midway through the 3rd quarter and even then it was only really just enough and we needed the defense to set it up for us. I was pleased to see us stick with the running game throughout though and for us to get back to a much more balanced attack.
All in all, not one of the best games anyone will watch this season but a win is a win and depending on results next weekend, the Redskins could go into our game with Dallas on the other side of our bye with the chance to go top of the division which is just ludicrous. Thank God for the NFC Least.

1st half Talib did a good job on Julio Jones with help over the top, pretty good RZ defense as well. On offense we moved the ball pretty well, having a running game helped, couple of drops by the rookie WRs - need to hands catch better.
2nd half - fell asleep. :/

So Peyton Manning is 4-0 with an all star team while Tom Brady is 4-0 with a bunch of misfits and undrafted rookies.
Brady needs to work on his buttfumbling though.

I've never been so ashamed to say that I'm a Tampa Bay Buccaneers fan in my life, and that says a lot. I don't have much money but I've paid for a trip to Tampa this November and if I could get a refund, I'd cancel it in a second.

I actually said a similar thing on one of the nfl.com articles. Not quite having the Giants going 12-0 but did say it wouldn't surprise me if the Giants went on a winning run with the talent they have on their roster.Number-25 wrote:Antrel Rolle predicts 12 game winning streak for the Giants
I still expect the Redskins to win the division. They were in a catch 22 situation at the start of the season. They really should have started Kirk Cousins if they wanted to give themselves a chance but then RG3 need to play to get match fit. With the way the division has gone so far, they have probably taken the right decision. The Cowboys are probably the most steady team in the division and will be strong at home but are a pretty average team at best. Roll on the Johnny Manziel era The Eagles just look a mess. Mike Vick is not the future. It was a mistake, in my opinion starting him last year, and to repeat that mistake this season is idiotic.
