Denver D has been bad this game, if they don't let the Broncos win the SB again this year...

Re: Ongoing NFL Discussion Thread IV
This Denver team has a real look of some Pats teams have recent years, offence is real powerful (obviously Pats offence never this powerful), but the D is really pourous at times.
On another note, how is Ron Rivera still in a job

Indeed Bambam, much like the Pats did in the SB against the Giants, let them score you got more of a chance of scoring again

The reason why that playfake was so good:
"@DenverBroncos: Manning said he was the only one that knew he'd keep the ball on his TD run so that everyone else would sell the RB run better."
Brilliant stuff!

Alex Smith is 25-4-1 over the past 2 and a bit seasons, secondly only to Peyton Manning.

I've just seen online that some Seahawks fans think Reggie Wayne was using stickem and are going to send a gif showing it (it's clearly spit) to the league office. Couldn't make it up$
Niners D has played at elite level for 2 weeks now which is nice and secondary has been ace considering we have struggled with pass rush. Unfortunately not many people still getting open and it's a problem, you seen it even with Tom Brady last night, A QB needs help. Not that it was needed last night

Slightly overrated but they do need something more from the QB. Problem is that Schaub is good enough to keep them in the upper half of the draft without progressing in the playoffs.Olly wrote:Are the Texans the worst "big game" team in recent memory? Or are they just simply overrated?
I woke up and Oakland were still playing San Diego! I watched the 4th quarter before leaving for work. I'm waiting for the point that it is safe to buy a Pryor jersey - to make sure they don't bench him...

Schaub has needed replaced for a while. Maybe Manziel will stay in Texas.
Welcome to Dallas, where the QB who throws for 500 yards and 5 TDs is to blame for losing not the D that surrended 51

Says it all really, if it had been Peyton to throw that pick, would anyone have been blaming him?GSC wrote:Schaub has needed replaced for a while. Maybe Manziel will stay in Texas.

Freeman to the Vikings, don't know how should I be feeling about this. One thing that is for sure, Ponder will no longer be the QB, waste of a 1st round pick(in hindsight!!).
Freeman seems to have a much higher ceiling than any of our other qbs too tbf

The scheme didn't help him in Tampa, but he certainly hasn't pushed on since he had that real good season a year or two back.
Potential is there though for me, miles better than Ponder but then most are

How Romo escaped some of the pressure he had on him was ridiculous too. Maybe Dallas fans might appreciate him a bit more when he's gone and they're scrabbling around like the rest of the league trying to get a franchise QB.

Re: Ongoing NFL Discussion Thread IV
Problem for Minnesota, Houston etc is that they are too good elsewhere to bottom out completely and be in position to select a QB such as Bridgewater or Luck etc..
Bill Simmons (great American sports writer) had a similar theory about NBA teams, in that the worst place for an NBA team to be is between 10th and 20th, as you aren't good enough to compete for a championship, but not bad enough to be able to acquire top talent through the draft.
This is starting to translate to good teams who lack a QB too
