Re: Animation Wars
Its better than the Aussie equivalent where a bunch of animated Koala's try to form a scrum for three hilarious minutes but end up making a sort of Koala pyramid that gets blown over by a swift gust of wind emanating from Quade Cooper's behind.

I really detest the Welsh Dragon advert, it would have been fine if they got the dragon's colours right, but out Dragon doesn't have a golden chest, it is red all over, and IMO that is just poor form by whoever is responsible for that add.

Re: Animation Wars
The English one is clearly aimed at kids given it's their official ambassador for children's rugby. I think the Welsh one is aimed at that poster on here who likes Pokemon.

How can you dislike Pokemon? Besides its got a good message for up and coming fullbacks 'gotta catch them all'nth wrote:The English one is clearly aimed at kids given it's their official ambassador for children's rugby. I think the Welsh one is aimed at that poster on here who likes Pokemon.

I think Ruckley should have to give a urine sample, he looks like he's been on the roids!
Re: Animation Wars
I dunno - seems like someone has already been taking the urine.....GLove39 wrote:I think Ruckley should have to give a urine sample, he looks like he's been on the roids!

Re: Animation Wars
The Welsh autumn international advert really sounds like they forgot to hire someone with a good voice to do the talking and instead just got whoever was in the corridor at the time to do it, sounds utterly unenthusiastic.

Yeah Brian Blessed would have been a good option.

Re: Animation Wars
"See Scorch in action?"
What would that be exactly?
If this is a good way to spend the budget surplus, and a means to become even wealthier, is it worth losing even more integrity? Embarrassing corporatism at its very worst.
"It is said Scorch is "intended to personify the passion and pride of Wales' rugby stars" and WRU head of marketing Craig Maxwell hopes the Welsh public "take him in as one of their own just as the players will be inspired by him"."
Jeez. Can you imagine, 5 minutes to go, four points behind the All Blacks, the players digging deep and thinking of scorch to get the score? Lamentable. Also, for those who have watched the video, do you not find it highly disrespectful, and almost symbolically, and ironically, perfect, that this concoction is tearing through and burning the Welsh flag?
There's also something quite sinister about a big, roidy, drooling figure carrying a little girl over their shoulder and running away from people...
