Froch-Groves tickets.
Looking to get some tickets for this.
Problem is I think Eddie was stoned when he decided the ticket pricing.
Went to the MEN/Manchester/Phone 4 U Arena for Haye-Ruiz and got pretty decent lower tier seats for £60.
Same seats for this are £200.
Sweet Jebus!
So my question is this...
Can you actually see from the top tier?
Always looks like the ring lights are in the way.

Re: Froch-Groves tickets.
Upper tier MEN really is quite far back. I think the best upper tier seats are on par with the worst Capital FM arena ones.
The lights aren't in the way though, that's not a problem.

Re: Froch-Groves tickets.
That doesn't sound great.
Really think they've made a huge mistake with the ticket prices.
Tickets priced at £30, £40 and £60 (upper tier), £80, £100, £150 and £200 (lower tier), £200, £300 and £500 (floor)

Re: Froch-Groves tickets.
Just get the expensive ones. You'll have all the riff raff in the upper tier so paying the bit extra will get you away from that lot.

Re: Froch-Groves tickets.
Went to the Tyson fight at the MEN some years ago and was on literally the last row Rob and the view was not great at all so if you can afford to do it try to avoid anything too far back. Think I am going to go for the £80 ones for this myself but as you have said normally can get on the lower tier for a lot less than that.

Re: Froch-Groves tickets.
Thanks for the advice all...
Maybe I'll have to swallow the pill and pay the £150-200
The undercard will need to be special to justify the extortionate pricing though.

Re: Froch-Groves tickets.
Unless Mayweather appears on the undercard you have no chance of me forking out £200 for a mismatch.
Sorry Eddie.

Re: Froch-Groves tickets.
... So 200 quid is ok for 2 mismatches, mm8. Or we're you thinking mayweather klitschko?
Seems steep. I guess the way froch Kessler sold makes them think they can name their price. Be interesting to see how sales go... For none top tier anyway.

He loves Mayweather. Would probably pay 2000 to see him.

Re: Froch-Groves tickets.
They have to get the £10 million purse, or whatever it is, from somewhere I suppose.
I think Haye and Booth fight in Manchester because they think Northerner's are a soft touch.
Seriously though I wouldn't pay £200 for a fight of this magnitude. There isn't even an alphabet title on the line. £80 for a half decent view and the atmosphere/event junkie nature of the fight is as far as I'd go. It's not like you can really see whats landing unless you are within 20 or 30 rows from the ring.

If Tyson's fans are anywhere near as scummy as Hughie's then I wouldn't go near the arena let alone pay to be inside it. Maybe floor seats with a police escort.

Never seen so much bogotry on one thread...
I take people as I find them.......Not stereotype everybody jus tbecause they have little money.....or come from a different background
Give me fury to Jeffrey Archer anyday..
Then again being cultured does help..

You'd be fine in the arena toppy, it's what they're doing to your car outside you'd need to be worried about.

Re: Froch-Groves tickets.
Not bigotry if based on evidence. All the reports back from Hughie's fights have been horrible (including from v2 posters) and confirmed it is not just 'steretyping' at all. Only been to one boxing event and that was bad enough, but with the Fury lot in there as well I can only imagine it will be just as unpleasant as has been described by people who've ACTUALLY witnessed what's gone on previously.

As much as I've enjoyed the traveller discussion....
I don't think either of the Fury boys are fighting on the Froch card!
Not sure how we got derailed there...
Anyway... Having slept on it... Think I'll go with the £100 lower tier tickets.
Apparently, according to Fast Eddie, they're already queuing at the box office in Manchester.

Re: Froch-Groves tickets.
You got it from booth sending his guys to fight in Manchester... so haye fury was the link to froch groves. I can follow your logic even if you can't toppy. Though 'logic' might be flattering you on this occasion.

Re: Froch-Groves tickets.
Tickets are on sale. I passed this time. £90 were in the corner towards the back of the lower tier. Probably not bad, but not ideal, and didn't think this fight was worth spending more on to be honest.

They are the ones I have got Scott, are you near me? Knowing that is a possibility I am sure they seem a positive bargain.

Bought the £40 tickets - simply wasn't prepared to spend any more on what I feel will be a one sided beating.
Re: Froch-Groves tickets.
Me and the family have just got ours, £60 jobbies. Not going to be a great view but as others have said, not sure I could justify paying any more for this one, really.

Re: Froch-Groves tickets.
My wife is due to give birth that day, when I get hold of the father ill give him a right hiding, he's timing is terrible.
Should be a decent fight, think Groves will do better than a lot expect, fancy Froch to win but no cakewalk. Disappointed its on Sky box office, sky beginning to chug the money train along again, thought they'd have slowed down after getting their fingers burnt previously.
Cheers Rodders

Ha you can have that one Truss mate.
Listening to the press conference now, Hearn is promising a big undercard for you lads who are attending. Quigg title defence if he wins, Crolla involved.
Says tickets sold out in 11mins really ?

Will probably fork out for the ppv, but that's all I'd have paid. Has mismatch written all over it.
Backed out of going to Haye vs Fury as I didn't want to get sold a new driveway after a few beers.
