Re: Euro Division LXV
I did better on my first predos anyway
Giroud isn't a player I'd have in my side Zebs, he's in good form at the moment but he's so streaky. Give it a month and your feedback will be saying 'you need a reliable striker' or something.
Plus he has awful tattoos.

Feedback for Z3 next week...
'Giroud can score when he has Ozil setting him up, an out of position and out of form Coutinho less so'

Re: Euro Division LXV
What a surprise, Azzy says something negative about my signing.
Hes one of the most inform strikers in the league if not top of that list. If you watch him & Arsenal they are playing to his strengths & Im guessing you haven't seen Arsenals fixture list. Giroud will be fine, maybe not in here as you will just be biased.

Giroud has seemingly finally settled in also despite not being prolific he has very good link up play for a big man.

Sidney Sam is gash
I think Giroud is a good signing personally. Ratings will be based on how he does IRL and IRL he does have Ozil who will create chances for him. Plus Coutinho is in great form as well, so it will work well.

He's just over 5m and is in the form of his career at present with 6 goals and 4 assists already this season, enough so that he got a call up to the German squad, he also is playing Utd tonight so may pull off a blinder.Afro wrote:Sidney Sam is gash

Nah, never been a fan of his. He is the German Jermaine Pennant imo, a little headless
No mind games though - I just commented on what a good signing Dante is.

I've gone for the investment approach to my TPs this week and two players very highly rated who should shoot up in value over time.
Plus I had to buy Hyuri just for his solo goal alone

Yeah but you call his team-mate Stefan Kießling the German Peter Crouch which says it all really.Afro wrote:Nah, never been a fan of his. He is the German Jermaine Pennant imo, a little headless

Saw the goal and read Vickery.
Trebs - I don't ever label Kiessling as German Crouch. Kiessling is better than that, I just don't warm to him as I think he is more effective because of his physique than his ability. But it is very difficult to argue with his goal count

Martin Olsson - £4m
Kevin Strootman - £17m

You did Afro, I remember signing him in the previous incarnation of this league and you said that :laugh:But surely having a good physique, makes you a better player and therefore deserves ratings? Like Carroll has little technique but is great aerially so deserves ratings in that respect.

I admit I am harsh on Kiessling. He is actually better with his feet than I admit. He is certainly much better than Crouch.
I don't know why, but I just don't like him

Re: Euro Division LXV
Kiessling is a very good striker. Makes the most of his ability, but will never be a 30-goal scorer for Bayern or Germany's number one.
Crouch did well for a handful of years, but had too many off periods, and hasn't done much for what, 2 years now? At least?
Carroll I like, he looks rubbish, can barely run, is ugly as fook, has terrible hair, but boy can that lad cause trouble. He's like Lee Chapman but better.

That would have been funnier and smart-alec-ier if you'd not messed up the coding on that
I like Giroud fine. But like I said, when his form dips (as it inevitably will do), brace yourself for the feedback letdowns. We've seen it with Giroud before.
And I love how Olly has 'always' been a fan of Giroud, even though he's only really existed for two and a bit seasons

Lads, to check - if a player is on releases for less than £500k, we still sign him for the releases price, correct? Otherwise it makes a mockery of releases.

I remember Montpellier genetically engineering Giroud and Belhanda back in 2011 from the stored DNA of Laurent Robert, Roger Milla and Carlos Valderamma. What a move!'s only really existed for two and a bit seasons

That would be some player. He will dip, all strikers have to at some point but currently its a great signing & with Arsenals fixture list, only Swansea looking tricky in the next 6 matches he should produce. So im covered for October which will be at minimum 4 gameweeks here. Never know, I could end up with a lawyers offer in the future or I can put hi up for one at end of our season, by then our season will nearly be over, Arsenal play Liverpool IRL & I could get rid & upgrade.Azzy wrote:I like Giroud fine. I thought as much. Otherwise we should all get £250k for releasing players with TM values of £50k

Re: Euro Division LXV
Afternoon, been really busy so won't get on much, my thoughts so far.
I thought Nick would get votes in, future I'll get them in.
At the moment I'm doing tactics for Nick so can't take over another team as Nick won't be able to get tactics in we'll just be at square one. I'm willing to takeover a team after Nicks hand heals.
Azzy is never happy with anything, I bet he'd give GTA 5 a poor review. Mr Angry.
Giroud is a good striker and think he'll do well.

Cannot believe Denswil and Ligeon were sitting on releases. Although their TM values aren't much right now, both are part of Ajax's young defence, and integral parts of the Dutch U21s. Ecstatic to get them for £315k combined, I reckon they'll increase to at least £1.5m each by Christmas.

I'm actually very happy with a point - relieved, even - after losing four key players to injury.
