Re: Euro Division LXV
I don't even see how two similar strikers would be a problem. Both getting into the area for crosses, marking a defender each and one at the near post, one at the far post for crosses. Lukaku can play wider as well. Plus with the injuries in this league, it's quite likely at least one of Benteke and Lukaku will be injured anyway

Come on Marky, even Marc Wilmots knows they can't play in the same team at the same time
Good deal for both sides, I'm very happy with getting Wanyama, Clyne and Barkley in

Surprised you went for Wanyama with his current form.

Re: Euro Division LXV
Wanyama hasn't looked good since half way through last season at Celtic. And I just can't see Benteke and Lukaku working. They will both be effective in their own rights, but it is very one dimensional isn't it. The reason teams have different style strikers is that it gives different options.
Looks a strange deal to me tbh, other than Azzy getting Barkley, which he needed.

I agree, for both sides it's strengthening areas they were already strong in.

Re: Euro Division LXV
Remember earlier in the season? I do. Lukaku was injured for me, and I was marked down because I had no threat upfront. In having both Benteke and Lukaku, that's a LOT less likely to happen (cue both being injured next week )
I got Nocerino in to replace Wanyama, now Wanyama's value has gone up it was worth using him in a deal. Nocerino, Defour, Schneiderlin and Giggs as my CM options is not to be sniffed at. Despite Giggs' age, if he's still playing for the Premier League Champions IRL then I don't see how he can't be rated.

I've been very surprised you've not been playing Schneiderlin more than just the last game, for me a cracking player, player of the year last season for the Saints and I'd be starting him.

I like Schneiderlin too. I remember the Azzrentice task where we lost because I put Schneiderlin in the team and he wasn't deemed good enough.
It all worked out though, Olly got fired.

Re: Euro Division LXV
With the four injuries a week, you can't have too many midfielders. And besides, if I get a Lawyer offer for him I'll be in business
I upgraded at RB - a key feature of my feedback - and replaced Nocerino with Barkley, a plus for me. Then I get added CM cover in Wanyama, albeit through losing Benteke. But I still have Lambert + di Natale + Berba

He was deemed not good enough for Chelsea. A stance I will maintain until my dying day.sodhat wrote:I like Schneiderlin too. I remember the Azzrentice task where we lost because I put Schneiderlin in the team and he wasn't deemed good enough.

Mourinho has lost the plot though. No Mata, Lukaku out on loan, rubbish attempt at poaching Rooney. The fact that Lukaku was deemed surplsu to requirements actually indicates how good he is!

Re: Euro Division LXV
To let Lukaku go and keep Ba was a genuine heads gone moment for Jose. And last night, with Torres left out and Eto'o not up to scratch yet, they were crying out for someone like Lukaku to get amongst the Basel defence.Azzy Mahmood wrote:Mourinho has lost the plot though. Anyone want Alvaro Dominguez for their team, worth 8.8m so a decent enough guy to bring for central defence, looking for a RB.

I picked Wanyama over Schneiderlin based on the feeling Wanyama would conjure up more ratings!Hero wrote:I've been very surprised you've not been playing Schneiderlin more than just the last game, for me a cracking player, player of the year last season for the Saints and I'd be starting him.

Same here. I'll sell Jack Cork for his TM price of £2.6m if anyone needs a hustling, bustling CM.

I've heard that I'll be getting a 20m fund to sort out Basel, can I confirm this into my budget?

You don't need it, you've got a team that can beat Chelsea at home.

I think I'll do like a quid on a NFL bet, and then maybe a couple on footie. I'm either running out of cash in a month, or going for a long time

At least with buying games I can always go back and play again or sell it to others for a bit of cash etc.
Can't do that with betting though can you?
My point exact now shut the Frak up.

With betting, if you have the occasional win, it can be a self financing hobby, unlike games where you don't get any money back
