Bloody Baines and his mod style. Who scores two free kicks in a game? The big news was that we scored twice. I couldn't see where the goals might come from but well done to Morrison again. Top drawer that boy.

Tough luck Soddy. Lukaku coming on at half time was the game changer for me

Anichebe-

I'm not sure there is a keeper in the world who would have got to the second Baines free kick. It was inch perfect

So things we learned at the weekend:

- City look quality
- Arsenal look quality
- Chelsea look quality (when they feel like it)
- Spurs can grind out wins even when they're not playing well
- Liverpool still throw away points to teams they should be beating
- United look rubbish

Thing that's disappointed me most this weekend is David Moyes. Never has a football manager come across as sad, pathetic, whiny and irresponsible as he has this weekend.

I used to like David Moyes, but getting the United job has gone to his head. He has no clue what he's doing.

So things we learned at the weekend:


Don't give away free kicks on the edge of the area v Everton and secondly, why the hell has he been letting Mirallas take them for the last 3 games

To wind up Leon Osman, clearly.

I hate Anichebe, the only reason he has an assist is because the LB was awol. I would have expected him to set up that chance so no, no praise. Yet.

Azzy you think you're the Stan Collymore of V2 coming out with controversial stuff so you get a reaction.

I really like Baines even though he may have wanted to join United he has been absoulety professional and got on with it. Footballers need to follow his lead.

Statistically (Opta stats) Baines has been the third highest performing player in the Premier League this season so far. So even if you don't give too much weight to Opta stats, that still shows he has not been distracted or dropped his performances despite any transfer going ons.

Don't know why he'd want to join atm, would be joining a club lower down the league and one that's equal on points with Hull.

You reckon that was his last chance making a big move?

Nah. It might even work in his favour not moving to United. If he carries on like he is doing then, he might get interest from the big European clubs instead.

What's controversial?

- Moyes complains about the fixture list
- Moyes complains that his team haven't had a chance to settle
- Their title rivals haven't said a word

Fer was a bit disappointing at the weekend Olly

Looked average at best to me. Was the occasional glimmer, but was too anonymous for the most.

I finished that game quite glad we didn't spend the best part of 9 mil on him

He started off well, but in the end for some bizarre reason we just went with trying to cross the ball in, rather than create through the middle like we did in the first 15 minutes when we were most successful with Howson/Fer running the show.

He did alright, but his alright was still enough for him to be the best midfielder on the park

He was poor in my mind. RVW too. Redmond was your best player IMO

Eh? What game where you watching? Redmond was completely locked up by Bacuna all day and his tracking back was terrible. By far his worst game for us.

But RVW was pants. I put that mainly down to me putting a fiver on him first scorer at 7/1.

Also he was limping pretty badly the last 15 mins and there is rumors he is on crutches and out for two months

United were so bad yesterday, Young and Valencia weren't up to scratch, Carrick was left with no support in midfield, Rooney tried but he was the only one going forward who looked like he could do something.

Yesterday proved to me that Jonny Evans and Tom Cleverley have to be starting.

I didn't say he was good or it was his best game, I said he was your best player IMO. Although maybe Ruddy and Garrido were your best players on reflection.

Ruddy would've been my MOTM for us, says a lot about how crap the rest of our team was when he largely a spectator for the 2nd half.

Still dunno how Hooper missed that chance 6 yards out in the 88th minute. I was almost in tears at this point

Redmond always looks threatening, but for in his 5 games so far it's pretty clear he's not ready yet. The end product/decision making isn't really there and defensively he's a liability. Pilkington is the superior player at the minute, plus I think Redmond would be massively threatening coming on against tiring FB's.

Calling him a cry baby and having digs at United every single week. Moyes will prove everyone wrong he is a top class manager and will be a success at United.

Baines will do well abroad and I'd like to see him joining one of the bigger European side proving that we have players that can play abroad.

Clevrley is a fine player and was one of the few players that showed anything yesterday. I'm not saying he is world class but he is not the Poopie player you lot are making him out to be.

That doesn't say much when everyone else was terrible and he came on when City stopped trying

He wasn't bad when he came on but by that stage I think City had checked out and just sat on their lead. Hard to say how good he'd have been had he started.
