Bearing in mind the above - what I'd like to know for each team is:
1. How is the season likely to go?
2. What are the teams' strengths?
3. What are the teams' weaknesses?
4. What can be done to improve matters for each team?
Any jingoism, sledging or graceless kicking of anyone whilst they are up or down will see posts deleted.
Be gracious and be constructive.

Re: Glasgow and Edinburgh: Ongoing Banter Thread
No-one will need a "job" post-independence as there won't be a currency with which to pay salary. We'll have the good old fashioned barter system. In exchange for my legal expertise ASBO can paint my driveway, RDW can contruct fES towers and Schizoid can....hmmm, I'll have to have a think about how he'll fit into this tartan utopia.
It'll work as well. In true SNP fashion I've found a precedent: Ptolemaic Egypt. See. What's this whole currency nonsense about. Scaremongering I tell you!

Don't worry yer pretty little head about that, fES, fortunately the BofE is more than happy to sit down and have a senisble chat about the eventualities - it's only HMG that has its head stick firmly up its jacksie

Can't find anything either, but we all saw him hyperextend/flip his ankle so it wouldn't surprise me if the ligaments are completely fecked. That's a technical medical term.
On related news, Tommy's effort against the Blues was voted try of Rabo round 1:

Holla you pampered jades of the east.. There is a, small, part of me which is not looking forward to the Slaughter of the Effeminates because I have a nagging suspicion that you may actually turn up this year. The Warriors may be focussing on the HC and on maintaining a play off place, or in one or two cases staying out of jail. All the MFL will have to worry about is the game of rugby in front of them. I'm beginning to entertain nagging doubts , as it were.

On a more serious note Bill Lothian reported yesterday that Piers Francis may be out for the season. If true that leaves us with Harry then ??? I'm sure that Solomons is looking at options, but noone immediately springs to mind and before you start no we don't want to borrow Wight thank you .

No immediate rush but would be good to get one going soon!
Bad news with Francis - I'm assuming Hunter won't be back any time soon?
Might need to try Tonks at 10

That probably explains a couple of comments on other chat boards about waiting for some clarification on the Euro mess before anything happening. On the other hand 2+2=5 I'm an accountant I can prove that.

Clearly. Whilst we're a work in progress, we have comfortably scored more points for than you in the league this season, so whilst we're obviously not in your league defensively, we seem to be outscoring you, despite having a rookie at 10, a washed up slightly plump inside centre and a complete donkey on the wing.jimbopip wrote:You can prove you're an accountant? I reckon we're doing something right, and I don't think a side recently humbled by the Dragons at home is in a great position to be gloating.
Still, I wish you well this weekend. Being an MFL I've experienced the knock-out stages of Europe's premier club rugby competition several times, and I can recommend it. It'll be a step-up for Glasgow.

We've also scored more tries incidentally. Now I know the great unwashed all subscribe to the Toonie attacking philsophy of "scoring tries not being the aim of the game" (I paraphrase of course), but I quite like an open game of rugby and a team that runs in the odd try.
We may not be as good in defence, but our attack seems to have the edge. Glasgow better hope for a nice muddy and wet Murrayfield and poor conditions, that way mundane players like Kellock and Harley can trundle around making tackles and hoping they don't have to touch the ball. A dry crisp night and we'll rip you apart......

Easy, but can you prove that the MFL can play rugby?RDW_Scotland wrote:justified sinner wrote:That probably explains a couple of comments on other chat boards about waiting for some clarification on the Euro mess before anything happening. On the other hand 2+2=5 I'm an accountant I can prove that.
