Pubic hair and Goodbye Norma-Jean
Being only 63, I don't recall a time when rugby was not troubled with cash payment problems. Certainly by the time I spouted fluff and strands I'd heard tales of cash stuffed in socks and boots in the amateur changing rooms of England, Wales and New Zealand.
By the time of the emergence of the initial RWC, warnings were that International rugby would be eclipsed by a four-year cycle of intent. And so it proved.
And the game changed professional with the testosterone of it all.
Had there been an internet to Complain on at that, then I'd have done so as by that age I was old enough to foresee the inevitability of it all.
Now in 2013, rugby grown a full, matty bush of its own pubes and having grown from a pretty, photogenic child, it became a beautiful starlet. And of course the moneymen appeared from nowhere to cash in on the talent (for agents' fees of course).
It doesn't matter how you shave it or or trim it, the bush won't go away however you may want to ignore it. Miss Rugby is still pretty and she'll continued to be flattered and be tempted by lucrative contracts.
It's sort of inevitable. Let's hope she doesn't turn out to be Marilyn Monroe...

Some people on this board would prefer her to have sported an American, LT.
