If it is the brother that was on the Super 6 show I remember he tried acting an arse before the Ward fight but Virgil Hunter made him look like a total dick with one small sentence about him being a 'pedestrian'

Went to the last Degale fight at Bluewater and it was pretty pants. I only live 15 minutes from there but won't go again.

It looked woeful on the TV. I wonder how DeGale feels deep down considering he once headlined the O2 against Groves. Was a pretty big fight that. To now headlining these nonsense shopping centres. I haven't seen a fighter go back this much in a long time. Even the audience he brings are dull. No atmosphere etc.

I would hate to wind up sitting at another Hennessy card. Been to 1 Fury one over here and it was a complete shambles. My 3 year old could probably have done a better job promoting it.

Don't see anything wrong with this venue, or channel 5.. My only criticism is he is too inactive..

It's a small venue. He should have moved onto bigger things by now. I know Frank Warren isn't the most popular guy around... but surely fighting under Warren's stable (or what's left of it) can't be worse than this.

Tunes, he has been more active than Groves. And Froch.

As someone once said of Lennox Lewis, they are in the danger with Degale of doing a Cecil B Demille in reverse by taking a someone and turning them into a nobody.

I think Groves has also been too inactive, both had big brakes and only fought 6 times since they fought each-other, as for Froch he is 36 and champ so does not need to fight as regularly..

Hearn seems to be doing things the right way by his new/young charges. Is getting Campbell and Joshua to fight on an almost monthly basis.

I wish world champs could do the same. As in, mayweather, pacquiao, khan, Bradley, Marquez, Cotto etc etc etc be great if they all fought 3-4 times yearly.

Yafai tore his bicep or tricep so is only back in training recently hence his lack of fights over last 6 month or so.

Couldn't agree more. Degale has gone nowhere in the last 3 years. Unbelievable how badly he has been progressed

Degale is developing fine. He is getting the right kind of fights to progress. He just has no coverage. Hennessy is pretty half assed in how he runs things but he seems to give fighters the kind of fights they need to progress. Maybe being out of the spotlight wont do Degale any harm. Let him focus on his boxing. Hearn wouldnt give a crap about him other than how best to flog a ppv with him.

He won't get the winner of Froch-Groves.............and he'll be 28 soon...........

A rematch with Groves will always remain a possibility. A Froch fight will never happen. Degale is fighting the kind of opponents needed for developing. He isnt being rushed with an agenda to shift tickets or being thrown to the wolves like Groves. He isnt any major spotlight either. In terms of his actual boxing I think its good development but I dont know if Hennessy has the promotional clout to take his career to the next level. He may need to do a Froch at some point. But I dont think the last few years have been a waste.

Problem is........Is that Boxers call other Boxers bum ad nauseum...........So If they don't respect fellow pros why should anyone else.........

Hennessy is quite as a dead house mouse. Sometimes he comes across shy and thats not what you want in a promoter. Feel sorry for Degale. He gets a lot of stick here but I can't see what he has done wrong personally. He has won all his fights bar 1.

I think Hennessy has a decent little stable at the moment. The venue is not bad even though not always full, but you cant knock Free TV...
