Events you would like to see happen in 2014
First topic message reminder :
A bit premature I know but then thats always been a problem of mine...
Here are my events I would like to see happen in 2014. Ive just stuck to British boxing for now:
* Nathan Cleverly ditches Vince as his trainer and goes on to beat a top 10 ranked opponent
* Amir Khan beats Floyd Mayweather Jr
* Adam Booth admits that his sexual harassment of George Groves caused the split
* Carl Froch receives a brutal career ending beating and retires from boxing and speaking in public all together
* Kell Brook finally gets the recognition he deserves...yep...an MBE for services to the Eastern European Binman Industry
* Tyson Fury knocks out David Haye
* Eddie Hearn gets banned from driving
* Joe Calzaghe comes out of retirement and beats Andre Ward
* Tony Bellew deletes his Twitter account (while still crying at any slightly negative comment made on there)
Regards

Yeah, what's your problem with Haye wanting to be an actor...especially when you seem to looooooove Arnie who can't act, isn't an actor and never will be an actor.
1/Fury punched himself in the face... that's himself in the face. I'll say it again..HIMSELF....IN....THE....FACE and yet you seem to think he'll be a big star.
2/ see number one and keep looking at it

Mayweather hasn't exactly got many places to go now, he's just beaten the best out there so everything else is a backwards step but because you rate him you don't see that. Your argument here makes no sense, lets see the able guy win so he can make a mockery of the british heavyweight scene.

Haye - Won't face a Klit and wants to be an actor = Less mileage......
Mayweather - Can fight whoever he wants and become a bonafide top 5 alltimer = A lot of mileage.......
Simples...........

Personally I couldn't give a monkeys how much mileage Fury has. Actually, scrap that, I care quite a bit and the less of it there is the better. The bloke is a buffoon. Credit where its due, he has improved, but if Cunningham can knock him down then he doesn't strike me as going anywhere.
In fact, if Haye does spark him then great, maybe Fury and Price can rebuild at the same time and we can see a crossroads type fight. With some luck, Price can spark him out again.

Haye v Fury is a bit of a farce. Furys team are cashing in. Everything points to it. Haye wouldnt have made him an original offer of 50/50 so the Furys were obviously holding out until they got enough moola to make their asswhipping worthwhile. He also had an eliminator there if he wanted it which would have got him a world title fight. Everything points to the money men deciding to cash in on Fury while it lasts. Fury is probably the only one who doesnt know it yet.

It may point to that for cynics......
But my guess is they think it's a fight he can win and that can bring him big rewards If he does....Conversely they believe it won't hurt too much If he loses.....
However I also believe he'll give it 100 % and that you are being a little too dismissive of him and his motives.........

Well, he sidestepped/ducked a title eliminator against Pulev to take on (in the eyes of many) an infinitely tougher prospect in Haye with a whacking great big pay day so I think we all know what his motives are.TRUSSMAN66 wrote:It may point to that for cynics......

I'm dismissive of Fury not his motives. If he wants to make a bigger wedge that's fine but please don't suggest we're "a little too dismissive of his motives" as if he's all about the titles and bringing respect back to the HW division.

You don't know what his motives are........
I think he sees himself as a Heavyweight champion...........You disagree.........
But none of us know what the guy is thinking.........

Re: Events you would like to see happen in 2014
So I'm not even entitled to speculate given that the options are generally quite limited.
1/ Winning titles
2/ Making money
3/ erm....
Yeah, Fury is dismissive of Haye, the K's etc and says he's the "Man" but when given the opportunity to secure a shot at the K's he opts for Haye and the liklihood of a real slapping instead, but I'm not allowed to suggest he's more bothered about earning a lot of money this time as he knows the chances of him getting another title shot post-Haye are as slim as Audley's.
