Films with great twists at the end !!

Spoiler alert...............

"The bird with the Crystal plummage"..........

Remember this amazing Argento movie........His first I believe.........A serial killer is on the loose in the City and as our hero is walking home he looks into a shop and sees a Woman fighting a man with a knife and screaming.....He bangs on the window and the Man flees.....The injured Woman making a full recovery.....who is discovered to be the Wife of the "attacker"....The killings however continue and our hero has visions of the incident with something troubling him.........He investigates further and with the local chief, his girlfriend and his best friend go to the Man's apartment (Chief suspect) where he finds him and his Wife in another deadly duel.......The Man then tries to escape and dies whilst doing so.........

Our hero tells his girlfriend and best friend to take his Wife back to their flat to comfort her but while he's talking to the Chief he gets another vision of the shop incident and realises what he thought he saw wasn't what it seemed........"she was attacking him" ...She is the serial killer......

Basically his best friend gets wasted..His girlfriend tied up and he saves the day.........

The above summation is very basic but you get the drift....

Argento at his best !!........worth watching..........

Not sure if you would count them as great twists, but the film with the most amount of twists surely has to be Wild Things. Even after the credits start rolling there is a further twist!

The Chubby Checker Story - good film but I saw the twist coming a mile off

Signs was a good twist, I was thinking they were all going to die, then it turns out the aliens are rubbish and chicken

Three old ones well worth going in the mix:
1. Dead of Night
2. Kind Hearts and Coronets
3. Endless Night.

The first two are rightly regarded as Ealing classics from the 1940s although very different from the lighter offerings normally associated with their studios. The ending of the first film is especially dark and still has shock value today. The second film is largely humourous but has a wonderfully clever ending, one literally to die for. The third is from the early '70s and is based on an Agatha Christie work when she was at her devious best; a teasing story and much under rated film in my view.

Thomas Crown Affair (pierce brosnan one) more the way that the twist was played out then the twist itself

Probably something that happened when he got mugged "walking his dog" late on night in London near notorious cottaging sites (if you can believe the scandalous press)
