No sex with Sharapova

You are an obscure German tennis player who has orbited for a life outside the top 100. Suddenly there are some sweet news; none other than Maria Sharapova wants to hire you as her hitting partner. Wow who wouldn't take this? But when you read through the contract, you can't believe at what your seeing, someone put in a very very nasty clause that specifically prohibits sex with Maria Sharapova.

I must confess I struggle to make up my mind as to what the clause was written for. Was that to protect Miss Sharapova from the unwanted attentions of the affable german or was that the other way around??

It says he "signed a clause that he is not to have sexual intercourse with anyone during training periods when he is practicing with the Russian."

So not just with Masha, but total abstinence.
Personally I never have sex during any of my matches.

In this light I certainly understand why Kindlmann told to the Bild "My job is not easy".

But what about the following: "Anyway, she’s very happy with her boyfriend and until now my presence didn’t provoke jealous episodes between the two??”

Surprised that Sharapova does not consider Dimitrov (ATP #28 - he just won Stockholm, favourite spot/sport for a certain Ernests Gulbis) as a suitable hitting partner where such clauses would not be necessary. She can have best of both worlds, Tennis and non-Tennis.

Kindlmann turned pro in 2001 with the highest ranking of #130 in 2004. Does he not have a clause in his contract, not to talk about his contract, to newspapers.

Julius - off topic but am I right in thinking you play theBirmingham leagues? If so, can you confirm whether it is correct that Dan Evans rocked up for a club match just after the US Open and lost easily?

On topic, this seems an odd clause. I can't believe it would affect him that much.

I haven't heard that story. He plays for West Warks - only a few miles from me, but we never seem to play against them.

It seems an odd clause to me. A period of abstinence and Sharapova on the other side of the net... he'll find it tough to focus on tennis!

I just hope for him she won't come out with little jokes like; "Hi, did you sleep all right last night?", or worse; "I am in the shower room, could you please pass me my towel...."

In fairness to Kindlmann it looks like the clause was referred specifically to a prohibition of having sex with Sharapova, hopefully  not requiring complete abstinence. Otherwise it would struck me as a potentially illegal arrangement  .......

Why would you even need a contract to have a hitting partner?

Given that the training sessions are likely to resound to the sounds of vigorous ball bashing and the moans and shrieks of Sharapova, it seems reasonable to slip in this clause, to reassure those within earshot of the ground zero.

Come on guys, any male person would get sexually nourished while hitting balls and hearing Sharapova moan near you, so the contract takes care of it.
