If the pool stages ended now...
Just for fun, as we all know there is still a long way to go, here is how the teams would be seeded for the quarter finals if the Heineken and Amlin Cup pool stages ended now.
Heineken Cup
1. Toulouse
2. Ulster
3. Leinster
4. Exeter Chiefs
5. Perpignan
6. Scarlets
7. Toulon
8. Racing Metro
9. Leicester Tigers
10. Munster
11. Northampton Saints
Amlin Cup
1. London Irish
2. London Wasps
3. Sale Sharks
4. Bath Rugby
5. Brive
Notably, both Saracens and ASM Clermont Auvergne would be out altogether, with three former Heineken Cup winners dropping into the Amlin. Exeter Chiefs would be flying the flag for the Aviva Premiership, and would have a home quarter final. The quarter finals in full would look like this;-
Heineken Cup
Toulouse vs. Racing Metro
Ulster vs. Toulon
Leinster vs. Scarlets
Exeter Chiefs vs. Perpignan
Amlin Cup
London Irish vs. Brive
London Wasps vs. Northampton Saints
Sale Sharks vs. Munster
Bath Rugby vs. Leicester Tigers
Some juicy match ups across the board. I'd be more than happy as a London Irish fan, not quite so happy as a fan of Ulster!!!

Blues proved yesterday Toulon are not all conquering if that draw came about Ulster shouldn't fear them at Ravenhill.

We can beat anyone in Europe with home advantage and most away too! Even though I think we won't be able to have a quarter-final at Ravenhill with the ongoing re-development.
Toulon have been pretty poor on the road this year. Besides losing to Cardiff, they've also suffered defeats to Oyonnax, Castres and Grenoble. Only win for them away this season was against relegation-battling Biarritz.
