I've just put down rugby because it would take hours to list USA, Aus league, Tennis, Horse racing and football stadiums.
I also have trips planned to Rome, Belfast and Galway in the next few months, catching the Aviva next year and hopefully Japan too.
Sorry if it sounds braggish, I sell for a living and travel a lot so try to get in as many rugby experiences as poss.

Re: How Many Stadiums have you been to?
To my shame Guns, no. Had tickets a few years back to the RDS but took ill and last season I had to work (at least be present at work) for the pro 12 final. It's on the list but I have to say I hope to make limerick an annual thing and next year we are already talking about an overnight in Galway so time will tell.GunsGerms wrote:RDS/Donnybrook?Standulstermen wrote:Football

Spose it does. Wouldnt mind picking up a NFL game in Wembley. Nice collection. You need to pick up a GAA championship match in Croke parke to top it off. College football (American) games are class too.

Re: How Many Stadiums have you been to?
I went to the 2009 All Ireland, but never been to Croke for rugby sadly, and probably never will now. I did try to catch a college football game but it was cancelled on the day, pity. I did catch a Knicks game though, that was fun.GunsGerms wrote:Spose it does. Wouldnt mind picking up a NFL game in Wembley. Nice collection. I'm yet to catch a hockey game in the US (US crowds are so fun), and baseball too.
Can you tell I'm a bit of a sports geek, everytime I travel the wife asks what we should see and it always starts with what local sports are playing that time.

2 words, passionate and confusing!
I couldn't get my head around the rules, especially the scoring system, but I was told to support Kilkenny beforehand and they did me proud.

Re: How Many Stadiums have you been to?
Excel is a big conference centre and was used for things like boxing, judo, fencing. It was awesome for fencing. If they just added lightsaber sounds to the swords, it could be the next big spectator sport.GunsGerms wrote:Whats the Excel like? Is that where the boxing was on or was it the swimming?

Re: How Many Stadiums have you been to?
This is quite a good exercise for the old memory cells...
Rugby
Twickenham
Millenium
Stadio Flaminio
Does the train station adjoining the Aviva count??
Kingsholm
The Rec
Memorial Stadium / Ashton Gate
Sandy Park
Sixways
Madjeski
Adams Park / Loftus Road
The Stoop
Vicarage Road
Kassam
Franklin's Gardens
Headingley
Old Big Side
Football
In the days I used to actively support Wycombe I went to quite a lot so the one's that I can remember either stadium or team are:
Loakes Park
Wembley
Selhurst Park
Brentford
Hereford
Cheltenham
Torquay
Exeter
Oxford
West Brom
Coventry
Runcorn
Chester
Carlisle
Eastlands
Cardiff
Walsall
Rotherham
Kidderminster
Sutton
Macclesfield
In terms of other sports I've been to Dodger Stadium for the LA Dodgers; does Cheltenham School count for the cricket festival, but Edgebaston too; Cheltenham, Newbury & Newmarket for horse racing; Poole, Swindon & Oxford for the dogs; Don Valley & Crystal Palace for athletics; but the finest was Cheltenham Town Hall for proper wrestling between Big Daddy and Giant Haystacks

Re: How Many Stadiums have you been to?
The Arms Park (Cardiff RFC)
Cardiff Arms Park (Wales before Millenium stadium)
Millenium stadium
Cardiff City stadium (Cardiff Blues)
Parc Y Scarlets
Rodney Parade
Liberty stadium
Vetch field (Swansea FC)
Saint Helens (Swansea RFC)
Talbot Athletic ground (Aberavon RFC)
Gnoll (Neath RFC)
Brewery field (Bridgend RFC)
The Whitworth (Tonmawr RFC)
I won't include teams I have been to as a supporter "below" Welsh Premiership level, or grounds that I have played at, because the list would be long and pointless.

To those of you that have been to the Stade de France, how is it? I'm taking my grandfather there for his 80th birthday to see France vs England.

I was there for the Quins v Stade H-Cup game a few years back. I thought it was a good stadium, plenty of atmosphere - easy to get to on the metro etc.

Re: How Many Stadiums have you been to?
I see the Seattle Seahawks stadium in the US was so noisy following a touchdown they caused a mini earthquake that was picked up by monitoring officials...think 1-2 on the richter scale.

It is a football stadium, I went to the outdoor winter classic. It was the first time they've done it, a college double header and yes, it was bloody freezing.
