Aviva Premiership Round 6
First topic message reminder :
Sorry folks, this is nowhere near the standard that LondonTiger produces for these things, but he appears to have done a runner, and I thought people may like a thread for the matches, so here they are.
Bath Rugby (4th) vs. Gloucester (10th)
Exeter Chiefs (6th) vs. Worcester Warriors (12th)
Harlequins (7th) vs. Sale Sharks (5th)
Northampton Saints (2nd) vs. Saracens (1st)
London Wasps (11th) vs. Leicester Tigers (3rd)
Newcastle Falcons (9th) vs. London Irish (8th)
For what it's worth (very little I know) I see wins for Bath, Exeter, Sale, Saints, Wasps and Irish, with nobody picking up a try bonus point, and all losing sides other than Worcester getting the LBP.

Portnoy, I thought Salvi was pretty quiet actually. Waldrom was the wrong choice at 8 and blew our best chances to score by failing to control the ball at the base of the scrum as we motored forward. Jamie Gibson was a complete waste of space and Ayerza and Mulipola both looked tired.

Gutted to lose that one 13-11. Missed conversion and I think 3 penalties from Humphreys, and Geraghty missed one with the final kick from 35 yards.
Will watch the game on the Prem site before commenting any further.
Well played Falcons and good luck for the rest of the season.

I'd agree with all of that Sam. For me, the only forward who won't be annoyed at their individual performance is Slater. Kitchener being injured proved to be much more costly than I first feared, given how poorly Gibson played and Ed showing in the last few weeks that he can cut it in the back row.formerly known as Sam wrote:Portnoy, I thought Salvi was pretty quiet actually. Very frustrating. It's as if these players don't realise that they aren't playing for the team, the shirt or even personal pride - they are playing for my SuperBruOzzy3213 wrote:Gutted to lose that one 13-11. Hi folks. I was at Adams Park, where both teams played for territory. Much of the 2nd half was played in a swirling wind and heavy rain. Holding out Tigers at the start of the 2nd half and then bagging two drop goals with the limited possesion Wasps had (+ a man in the bin) was key to the win.
We'll probably never face a weaker set of Tigers though.

The Wasps intentsity in defence at the breakdown won them the game in that second half. They played right on the limit and played for territory very well indeed.
