If Novak doesn't buck his ideas up, people will start thinking he's throwing the match! That was awful!

Worst performance I have seen from djokovic since Wimbledon final. I don't think its federer that is the issue, he has beaten fed 13 times remember

They do not do it very often, and never anything overly aggressive, but the do take gentle swipes at each other occasionally.

Well done Nole to recover from a slow start.  Likely another Nole vs Rafa match tomorrow.

The good news for Fed is that he can still produce brilliance.

The bad news is that Novak was there for the taking today but Roger couldn't quite get it done.

Novak will need to play better against Rafa though.

The WTF group A is easier, IMO, compared to group B especially given the O2 surface.

Group A - Nadal, Berdych, Wawrinka, Ferrer

Group B - Djokovic, Federer, Gasquet, Del Potro

Nadal, Ferrer v Djokovic, Del Potro (more than likely).

Nadal's group is miles easier, but given the WTF format it is not as important as in a knock-out tournament.  On the flip-side of his easy group draw, Rafa is all but guaranteed to have a tough SF opponent, while the winner of group B may end up playing maybe Ferrer.

I refuse to watch Federer, Djokovic, Nadal or Murray matches. Where is Gulbis and Dolgopolov wqhen you need them? Both those guys would walk over these semi finalists imo.

Nadal is not good enough to win these pressure matches, big tournaments like Paris are harder to win than tiny dullard ones e.g USO and FO, where nobody even cares.

Ferrer certainly would rank on top 5 in the most uncredited and undervalued sportsman in the history of the game, how often he is called weaponless skill less player but today he is outplaying Nadal.

All Nadal does is retrieve.  His games will die because no-one in the future is going to watch that boring style of play.  No talent.

Ferrer who is acclaimed in this forum as weaponless and skillless completely outplayed Nadal the entire match except for the one small panic when serving for the match the first time.

Just curios to know do Nadal fans agree Ferrer outplayed him here today? or is it due to some injury that Nadal lost?

I have always felt Ferrer could be a match for Nadal even on the red courts. And I have been thoroughly disappointed watching Ferrer  handing to Nadal so many free pass over the years. Batter later than never one would say. The spanish terrier today made me proud.

How easily you forgot the stats that he has never won the tournament and how many times he got eliminated before reaching the knockouts? and is the unique candidate who in the top 2 endup with no wins after the round robin tournament?
