Who am I?
If its grafters ye lust after then I was one of the greatest.
In the past you could hear me roar against the All Black, rock Australia too but now I am found in the hall.
27th Jan 1973, kinda rhymes with me.
Im bored. Usual rules, winner posts a new one. Plenty of clues there so just guess..............................

- Answer:
- Fergus Slattery, anagram of "grafters ye lust", former Blackrock student, Lions legend, hall of famer and participant in the Lions v BaBas 1973

Good work Chequered Jersey, you're up. What gave it away?ChequeredJersey wrote:Lions legend, Fergus Slattery
Was it the anagram of his name? The subliminal reference to his school Blackrock or his status as a hall of famer or his participation in the great BaBas v NZ match?

Re: Who am I?
I too now live in the Hall, but prior to this men have found me amongst the fair winds, in the city of light or thinking on the past.
I have played in 3 big cups and one shorter cup, and led my people from the front. As an outsider I led the French to victory, the first to do so, like Napolean.
I missed playing for one cat against another cat, but played for the hoard.
I am The Great. I am Small. Who am I?

Re: Who am I?
Ah it must be Hugo Porta. Buenos aires, Paris, etc? Or Pichot. Some Argie anyway?

Not sure because I dont get the lead the french to victory. However, given your age it must be Pichot?ChequeredJersey wrote:Which one?

Re: Who am I?
Correct. The first non-French player to captain a side to the French Cup in 2007 with Stade Francais. Agustin mean the Great one, Pichot means little, played in 3 RWCs and a 7s WC and captained the Pumas but never played the Lions. Played in Buenos Aires, Paris and the Memorial Ground.

Re: Who am I?
I skipped out half the clues and went with Lobbe based on the Lions vs Pumas and the Toulon Heineken Cup win

Re: Who am I?
Will have a go at one, even if I didn't win!
I grew up not far from the Boot, but the Winds made my name.
My 7 has never been broken
I started further out with the friend of the whale, but the 5 nations saw me in the middle
My play was never the same, but the stag gave me some games.

Re: Who am I?
Yep, Cullen!
Grew up near Wellington (Boot), made his name with the Hurricanes (Winds)
7 tries in first 2 Tests (3 vs Samoa, 4 vs Scotland)
Started at full back (further out) with the friend of the whale (Jonah and the whale = Jonah Lomu), 5 nations (1999 WC held in about 5 countries :p) saw me in the middle (games in the centre)
And yep, finished with Munster (stag on the logo)
