Leicester V Quins
Great result for Quins this weekend. Sort of amused by both the BBC report on the game and the ITV highlights programme showing that Leicester have a long injury list and players away with Internationals. Fair play to Mr Cockerill as he did not stand behind that excuse. However Quins also have a long injury list (not quite sure but about 10 or 12 I think) and 3 players away at the Internationals. There was no mention of that unless I missed it. As one example, Nick Evans started at full back as Mick Brown playing for England, 2nd choice injured, 3rd choice injured (he plays on the wing normally anyway) and so they had big reshuffle. Please can broadcasters be slightly more balanced in their reporting. Thanks

Just lazy journalism really, every game Tigers have been in so far has been proceeded by the same heart wrenching list of players out.
Thankfully the fans and (most of the time) Cockerill don't keep on about it.

It is legitimate but it's legitimate for a lot of people (though tbf with now all of their centres out after last week, Tigers are in a particularly bad spell).
What made it galling for this particular match was that we were also missing a huge list of players, 3 with England, 12 with injury, 2 literally just coming back for their first game off the bench, and this got completely ignored whilst Tigers' similar list was made a key point!

To be fair CJ you did have most of your key players (Evans, Easter, Care and Robson) so it wasn't quite as bad as you make out. Plus you had Kennedy blowing smoke up the ar$e of his new club for all 80 mins of commentary so that evens it up with the build up.

Would rather have had him playing than commentating! 2 of those players were out of position due to covering injury but fair enough

I'd rather Kennedy was playing rather than commentating as well, he is dire and dull.

Agreed Portnoy, though given the smaller sides tend to get better results from this (I'm not calling Quins small) I can't see them voting for the PRL to act.
