All Blacks preparation for France has been thrown into disarray with reports that a flu virus has broken out.

So far Julean Savea is unlikely to start with reports that the virus is likely to reach its peak to disrupt training for next week.

he would have got away with it if it wasn't for those Dam pesky posters

I am beginning to be very concerned about the AB's, it seems their immunity systems are not up to par.

When was this ghost characters last post?  I think 28 jan 2013 was the date my password was reset, I forgot it whilst I was away.

28th Jan is when the account was created, meaning it didn't exist before that day....

No I think I definitely had a password reset on that day. I know I was here long before that from memory. But as I say it was a traumatic time for me, my focus wasn't really on rugby forums so perhaps I'm mistaken.

Ah...it's a long story and you have to go to the beginning.

Read the articles in the NZ herald about the selection approach. There was a plan that keeps being rearranged due to injuries and withdrawals and what not. Started when the squad was split for Japan/France.

I'm a veteran of work environments. I've had more than 20 of them in my time on this earth. Never in all that time have I seem one member of a team go down with the flu without the other 19 going down in a space of two or three weeks. Now I'm sure these boys are all fit as buck rats with metabolisms of a rutting rhino, but doesn't that make it worse? I don't know if it's a wives tale of yore, but what I was led to believe is that a fit body was more susceptible than a cranking middle aged old fart like myself because firstly, a virus leverages the fitness of the host to multiply faster and more voraciously and secondly those clean living lads just aren't accustomed to encountering the kind of scum we breathe daily in the fetid environment of public transport or office air conditioning's sludge recycle.

People will say whats a cold? Well next time you're lying snotty nosed and cloggy throated sucking a strepsil ask yourself how motivated you might be to make that latch ditch tackle on a rampaging French back rower? Not very, if you're anything like me.

I got a mate that runs marathons... hes always bloody crook, plus if he has about 2 beers hes pizzed.

Exactly. My fittest mates are the sickest ones. The coke addicted, borderline alcoholics who gamble and smoke and prefer ladies of purchasable morality are all fit as fiddles the entire time.

Personally my cholesterol is pushing double figures and I only get the flu when I go on one of those foolish alcohol free month nonsense wastes of time.
