AJ Styles defending the TNA belt worldwide

I love what TNA are doing here. Sending AJ out to defend the belt in Japan and the like.

I know it is part of the story line that he has no contract but I love the concept.

Should WWE have done this when Punk won the title then quit?

Not sure about defending the belt, but I think WWE should definitely have held off CM Punk's return, although in fairness they had a Summerslam PPV to sell and wanted to strike while Punk's iron was hot (oo-err!)

With AJ Styles I really like the concept of him wandering the world like the Littlest Hobo, defending his title against all comers. The only problem I can see at the moment is how many other companies TNA can reach an agreement with. They've already got one with AAA in Mexico and Wrestle-1 in Japan but they can't just keep sending AJ to those two companies. He's needs to do a bit more roaming.

Every fed he wrestles, he makes a new friend, cant stay for long, keep moving on and hes gone again.

The dirtsheets are saying that they're keeping him off air due to his contract running out and until he's signed a new one, WWE have reportedly made him an offer but it's a low ball one.

Yeah I read about that Hero, seemingly WWE offered AJ one fifth of what he's currently making with TNA which - if true - is pretty insulting.

It just sounds like a gigantic f**k you to AJ Styles from the WWE.

I don't believe that one. Surely not even TNA would legitimtely put their world title on someone who was out of contract?

This looks like dirtsheets just ripping TNA with no evidence as it is such an easy thing to do.

If I was a writer for dirtsheets I could knock up a years worth of TNA stories in an afternoon and I'd guess at least half would be believed!

Apparently Styles is only contracted till the end of December.
