So the Seahawks beatable at home but we sort of knew they weren't invincible after the Tampa Bay game. Carson Palmer throws the winning pass to Floyd but also managed four interceptions.

It will be interesting to see if primetime next week goes for the big Dallas market and their games vs the Eagles or whether they even consider the Cardinals vs the 49ers.

Assuming the 49ers win

The Broncos will have HFA with a win or Pats loss

The Pats will have HFA with a win and Broncos loss
They will have a first round bye with a win or Bengals and Colts loss

The Bengals will be the #2 seed with a win and Pats and Colts loss
They will be the 3rd seed with a Pats win and matching the Colts result

The Colts will be the #2 seed with a win and Pats loss
Or the 3rd seed with a win, Pats win and Bengals loss

KC will be the 5th seed

6th seed basically goes Dolphins>Ravens>Chargers>Steelers

NFC:

Seattle will clinch HFA with a win or 49ers loss

Carolina will take HFA with a win, Seahawks loss and 49ers win
They will be the #2 seed with a win and Seattle win or 49ers loss

The Eagles will be the #3 seed if they beat Dallas.

The Bears will be #3 seed if they beat GB and Dallas wins

GB will be the 4th seed with a win

Dallas will be the 3rd seed with a win and GB win, or 4th with a Bears win

SF will win the NFC West and HFA with a win and Seattle/Carolina loss
They will be the 2nd seed with a win and Seattle loss and Carolina win
They will be the 5th seed with a win and Seattle win
Or 6th with a loss and Carolina and NO win

NO will be the 2nd seed with a win and Car loss
They will be the 5th seed with a win and SF loss
They will be 6th with a SF and Carolina win.

Arizona needs a win and NO loss to be the 6th seed

Redskins' season has now reached historically bad levels. One more putrid game to go in this putrid season before we head to an offseason that will no doubt be filled with smug media types and fans of other teams pointing out how stupid the Griffin trade was now that we're handing over at least the 2nd overall pick to the Rams.

2013 was bad but this team is so bad and has so many problems that 2014 doesn't exactly look like something to look forward to.

Enjoy the playoffs everyone!! It's looking pretty wide open in both conferences just now. Would anyone really be surprised given how things stand just now if the Superbowl ended being some combination of Seattle, San Fran, Carolina or Philly v Denver, New England or KC??

I had the Cowboys as slight favourites for the NFC East being at home this week but with Romo now out it is the Eagles division to lose.

Sean Lee has been a big lose for the Cowboys defence.

Anyway looking forward to watching the 49ers tonight on Eurosport whilst wrapping up Christmas presents.

Have liked the SNF on C4 but the Eurosport highlights packages have been on better times for me atleast. Shame the playoffs games aren't on free tv. Will have to settle for some online stream or the pub.

For the AFC I reckon Miami will wrap up the final wildcard spot, Denver first seed and Patriots second seed.

In the NFC I am going for an upset with Tampa beating New Orleans and Arizona sneaking in with a win over San Francisco
