I'll need to think about it. I'm least confident about our lot... even after Turin.

Followed by Italy Fiji.
The other 3 are likely to be Wales, NZ and SA.

Re: This weekend games - predictions
Theres no way I'd put my money on the Aus Ireland game, I see that going either way.
I have this little inkling about the scots too, if theyre brave enough to go for it, but I think thats dependant on the weather.
England have a chance, especially as NZ are going to be hurting.

It's logic. France played well against NZ. The media will pick them up. They'll relax mentally. France will win but I'm going by logic. After a good performance they're due a fall.

Re: This weekend games - predictions
Well possibly not but Ireland won their last match v Oz (in the WC) plus the last games in Landsdowne ended in a draw and a win for Ireland. Its a home game so anything less than a win for Ireland is a bad result dont you think?
I can see why people might favour Oz but if they play like the did v England it should be a handy win for Ireland I reckon.

Re: This weekend games - predictions
A very interesting set of games this week-end
Wales vs Argentina. Both teams will be hurting, Wales after failing yet again to overturn a SH big team, while Argentina's first half performance against England was mediocre at best, and they won't have liked the way England bullied them in the forwards. I expect Argentina to put in a better effort this time around, keeping it close until the final quarter, where Wales's superior fitness and tired Argie legs will tell.
Prediction: Wales by something between one and two scores.
England vs New Zealand: despite all the noises coming from the NZ camp you'd expect them to be well up for this, as their tonking by England last time around is the only serious blot on an impeccable copy-book. England have been uneven in their two games so far, and will need to show the intensity they did last year, or in the first half against the Argies. If they can do that, they will be competitive.
Prediction: NZ by about a score.
Italy vs Fiji: probably the easiest game to call. Italy will be too strong in the forwards, and the Fiji backs just won't get a chance to shine.
Prediction: Italy by 10-15.
Ireland vs Australia: possibly the closest tie of the round. Ireland have a new coach, which means a fair amount of fine-tuning to do, while the Aussies have been up and down recently (good against the ABs, must have been decent in Italy, fairly average against England, very good against the Argies, poor in the RC otherwise, etc.) so it's hard what to make of them. Ultimately I think this AI is more about performance, and setting a solid base for Ireland than the results though.
Prediction: Aus by less than a score.
France-Tonga: on paper the easiest game to predict. France should beat Tonga fairly easily, especially as they should still be smarting from their WC defeat. HOWEVER, this is France, and a pretty mediocre France side at that, since PSA took over, and having turned in a pretty good performance last week there's always the possibility they'll fail to turn up this time. Despite all that, I think France will run out easy-ish winners.
Prediction: France by 15.
Scotland vs SA: Scotland have shown signs of improvement, but SA are comfortably the second-best team in the world right now, so I can't see anything other than SA dominating up front and easing to victory.
Prediction: SA by 15.

But the one for me is Ireland to beat Australia by 6, watching that game last week I thought it was just the right game for Ireland at that time, they can build on that.

Here's one: predict the relative penalty count.
England v NZ 1:2
(i.e. 2 penalties + free kicks awarded against NZ for every 1 against England)
Scotland v SA 1:2
Ireland v Australia 1:2
Wales v Argentina 1:2
France v Tonga 1:2
Italy v Fiji 1:2
England v NZ 1:2
(i.e. 2 penalties + free kicks awarded against NZ for every 1 against England)
Scotland v SA 1:2
Ireland v Australia 1:2
Wales v Argentina 1:2
France v Tonga 1:2
Italy v Fiji 1:2

Thought Arg would compete better than that, but Wales were very good, full credit to them.
Got Eng vs NZ pretty much spot on.
Fiji's backs obviously competed better than I thought they would, but as expected Italy's forwards too strong.
Thought Ireland-Aus would be much closer (like many on here obv.)
Wasn't far off with France-Tonga.
Thought Scotland would be a bit more competitive, didn't expect quite such a huge margin.

100 per cent correct, I am slipping from reality. Good result whocares. Maybe France's good run after Lions tests seems likely as that's two good consecutive performances.
