Groves looks to be tiring... keeps switching off when the ref doesn't call break as well..Froch's been lucky not to be deducted either

Groves has shown a world class chin tonight, either way he has shown he belongs at this level for me.

76-75 for me. Froch's come back in to it, but rounds have been close and i am biased

This fight isn't as wide as the commentators are making out, Groves is landing some big right hands but not a lot of them.

Adam Booth has Groves way ahead on 5Live. Steve Bunce is talking crap as usual.

Should Groves be getting on his bike now or is he still fighting ok?

Froch getting a point taken off shortly won't help his cause.Strongback wrote:Froch is willing to take the right hand to land his own.
I see this going Froch's way from now on.
Groves does look puffed a bit as somebody above said.

Groves was gone but that stoppage was far too early.

Re: Fight Night Thread.
That was an awful stoppage, yes Groves was hurt but not bad enough that he couldn't have comeback. Really really bad decision for me.

clearly robbed - miles ahead on card, Froch took worse shots then that and no stoppage.horizontalhero wrote:Sounded like a very soft stoppage, was Groves robbed?

Re: Fight Night Thread.
76-75 sounds about right to me, after the 6th round Groves looked to be on his way out, looking at the replay WTAF.

Re: Fight Night Thread.
That said - why do we follow this bloody cheating sport with retarded officials who are either bent or incompetent. Frak! Frak!
Re: Fight Night Thread.
Froch has been saved from losing his belts there imo, Groves was throwing back and had shown that when shaken he could recover quickly.
Groves went over to the corner and Froch turned his back, he needs to grow a set. He was being beaten by a young, hungry fighter. Groves has earned respect in that fight, so why can't Froch show it him?

But gee whiz, what a fight. Adrenalin is flying and I'm only sat infront of my computer (dodgy stream).
Rematch time!!

Re: Fight Night Thread.
Groves took about 5 head shots in a row but the stoppage was not needed. Standing 8 would have been appropriate

Re: Fight Night Thread.
Sorry HH, how could you get a card anywhere close to that? That means that without the knockdown you have the fight dead even. Nonsense.Hammersmith harrier wrote:76-75 sounds about right to me, after the 6th round Groves looked to be on his way out, looking at the replay WTAF.

Ultimately I think Froch would have stopped sooner or later legitimately but not the fight ending we all wanted.
Groves brilliant and Froch well what does he pack in that chin, rematch please.
