I wondered how things were going , I am pretty jealous as I'm waiting for Friday for my PS4.

The Kinnect apparently works well, how does BF4 feel to have 64 players online. Is Ryse a bit of a disappointment or are you enjoying it.

Dead Rising 3 how are you getting on with it? The videos with hundreds of zombies looked cool.

I read a test on sound levels and I think its quieter than the 360. If you had a PS3 is it quieter than that?

I don't think there are rules Hero, me and a friend are two different races but are questing together.

You must be, at the very least, from the same alliance - you can't even go out into P2P until you're level 10. And for you to join up so early on, I'd suggest you may have chosen similar characters. I know that PC users didn't clock the disconnect between different alliances until they'd already played several hours - by that time it was too late to change.

It might be because we're dodgy people on PS4 and he can access my game library, so we split the cost of the imperial edition 50/50 and both got the rewards

Just had notification it's been delivered, just as long as my 89 year old neighbour hasn't claimed it (it would have gone to her) then I'm encouraging the wife to have an early night.

As I knew it was a long install, I made my wife happy by watching the last two episodes of True Detective. She then fell asleep instantly, leaving me to have a couple of hours uninterrupted. Sadly 90mins of that was the bl00dy install finishing but hey ho, I'm there now.

I will be saying goodbye to my life and purchasing ESO on Sunday, the only other MMO that i've ever played is Destiny so interesting to see how I get on with it.

Destiny is to MMOs as 5ive are to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. You're in for a treat! XB1 I presume?

Wow, 3 hours went like *that* last night - my Breton Dragonknight went from Glenumbra to Stros M'Kai to Betnikh, completing quests, killing spiders, zombies, assassins. Great fun

No Hero though so I'm still single...

I did my 1st attempted download early in the night, the Xbox wasn't a fan though of doing the original download at the same time as the update so froze at 66%. I then tried again doing the full game download first followed by the update.
At 4 minutes to midnight it completed...
Played on it solo for about 30 mins where I've got myself a great collection of ectoplasm, worms, mint and bones.

I've gone with Bretonian as well and have gone for a Sorcerer, have found an ice staff and am currently bringing down lightning on the minions as well as summoning imps to do my biding

Sounds good, I'm a sword-and-shield dragonknight but have put my skill points into boosting my magic - the fire chain is quite potent and I morphed it into something else which stuns them, giving me a few free hits.

The rings of mara give us +10% experience on every aspect of the game, so we need to meet up tonight to conduct that ceremony. What are your thoughts on going into Cyrodiil? Should we head straight into siege warfare or explore the other regions? I'm quite keen to re-visit Skyrim but I do want to take over a castle.

Get it, i have spent a good 5 hours playing so naturally have done he haw so far.

Il trade in some games at the weekend and hopefully pick it up I miss playing Skyrim and WoW

Am i the only one who has to pick up absolutely everything before spending half an hour grumbling when i run out of room.

Nope I'm the same, what's in this Iron Maiden, ooh more worms, I'll have them.

I had 50 foodstuffs, had to drop them all when I found some neat weapons and armour in some orc hideout. I expect I'll never craft a single item.

Speaking of crafting, has anyone looked at the achievements for the game?

Hard turn off of the Xbox seemed to fix it.
Currently trying to kill a head werewolf after I let him butcher his family but he's owning me. Just levelled up though and got an ultimate power so going to have another go tonight.

The Ultimate power drew the aggro off me while I burnt the werewolf from afar, lvl 8 now.

Some of the powers are excellent actually. I'm nearly level 11, yet to venture out into Cyrodiil but will do so tonight. If you're on Hero we can do the deed then.

Anyone watching the Microsoft E3 presentation? I'm watching live text updates here at work and there is some pretty big news coming out.

Backwards compatibility, 360 games on xbox one by the sounds of it.
Titanfall will be this months EA Access title (this week)
Dragon Age Inquisition going to be on EA access this autumn.
New exclusive IP called Recore, for spring 2016
MS Early Access program called Xbox Game Preview. Sounds like a try before you buy with The Long Dark and Elite Dangerous being available from today.
Lots of VR stuff including Minecraft and tie up with Valves version of the hardware.
Free EA access open to all Gold subscribers this week.
Lot of games news with many of the rumoured titles confirmed. Release date for Forza confirmed as September 15th (I thought that was already confirmed?).

As much as people over here love to hate them I can't help but feel EA Access is great value for $30 a year.

I agree, especially with games like Dragonage coming to it that don't feel that they're behind the times a bit like the FIFA etc with a new version out every year. Most people will buy at least one EA game a year I reckon, the fact that this costs less than one full price game makes it a bargain.

Backwards compatibility is potentially such a big win for MS. All those 360 owners who are still undecided on which next gen console are all going to lean towards the xbone now they can take their game library with them. Sony can't follow suit without killing its monthly subscription based PS Now service ($15/ month over here). Be interesting to see if Sony react at all in their conference later.

Only downside I can see is it's even more pressure for space on the 500gb HDD.

You still have to have the Xbox 360 disc, which unlocks the download.

Yes, so they wait for most 360 owners to sell all their games then announce backwards compatability? Pointless, and nowhere near as good as I first thought. It's actually a slap in the face for all us early adopters.

Whilst I'm frustrate, it's still good news. It's better than the PSNow system for sure and allows me to replay Mass Effect without having to wait for a remastered version.

There's a fair number of games that I bought as download towards the end of my 360 such as Xcom. Others like Skyrim etc should be dirt cheap to buy nowadays.

tbh in the hope of this happening I only kept hold of the Arkham games so doesn't really bother me that much

Over here you can only trade games in at one shop (Canadian GameStop). I only did it once and they gave me $7 for a game I then saw a few weeks later at $5 less than full retail of $60. I got even less for the other still sealed game (unwanted gift) I took in at the same time so never did it again. (So still have just about all my physical 360 library still). Just before the new generation of consoles came out I picked up Bioshock Infinite for $10 new but never got around to playing it so looking forward to trying that out. Also never did get around to buying South Park the Stick of Truth so going to be on the lookout for that now (I see they announced a follow up to that game yesterday).

I have both the PS4 & XB1. Generally I buy multi-platform games on PS4 more because I had that console first and am more familiar with it I guess. That said I never played Fallout 3 so the offer of it free with Fallout 4 on the XB1 makes it an easy decision when that comes out.  

I'm assuming that although each game will download an emulator code to run on the XB1 physical 360 games will always require the CD in the drive? Otherwise anyone could just borrow the disk, load it once and get the game for free?

Have resisted the urge to buy ESO so far but will have to buy it sooner or later with so many big franchise sequels out within the next year; need to hurry up and complete the Master Chief collection.

Have the game developers decided to screw the social lives of all gamers for the next 12 months?

Hammersmith - I'll only be buying AC: Syndicate and SW Battlefront, no FIFA 16, no NHL 16. For me the whole 12 months is going to be my current games + ESO + those two new ones.
