First topic message reminder :

I wondered how things were going , I am pretty jealous as I'm waiting for Friday for my PS4.

The Kinnect apparently works well, how does BF4 feel to have 64 players online. Is Ryse a bit of a disappointment or are you enjoying it.

Dead Rising 3 how are you getting on with it? The videos with hundreds of zombies looked cool.

I read a test on sound levels and I think its quieter than the 360. If you had a PS3 is it quieter than that?

He loves the games and they really haven't changed much in years, copy and paste gaming really, just like FIFA, add some small tweek or add something shiny and people will say its the best ever

What gets me are the suckers that spend real money on Ultimate Team. They won't let you carry it on to next year's rinse-repeat game!

I have stayed away from UT in the past but have seen Youtube wager matches with people betting players with the resulting crying and game rage

Battlefront footage of Endor looks LUSH. Flying the Falcon looks incredible too.

It's a shame that FIFA is focusing so much more on Ultimate Team as I just can't get into something which is buy-to-win. I think without that element it would be a reasonably fun game type, but the inherent advantage you get for spending money seriously puts me off. I also enjoy FIFA because it's a more realistic football simulator than PES, but Ultimate Team is very arcade-like.

I don't think there's much point splitting hairs with Battlefield and Call of Duty, they are different games, but they're both equally guilty of being cookie-cutter, release one every year money grabs. It's just down to personal preference which one you prefer.

I know the feeling - not since Fellowship of the Ring have I been so excited about a film being released. As for the game, it already looks like it's going to crack my Top 10 of All Time. Some of the videos out there look insane.

I like how they are tying it into the new film as well with one of the missions showing how the Star Destroyer from the trailer ended up on the planet, its gonna be immense, hopefully they will have a few surprises up their sleeve

I'm getting a sinking feeling I'm going to have to wait an extra day for mine.

Never been interested in Fallout, it's amusing how many people are taking time off work.

Can't stand any of the Fallouts, I can see the appeal but just cant seem to get it

9.5/10 on IGN. I can't wait for this. Fallout 3 was superb and this looks to be even better.

IGN's marks mean diddly squat. They down-marked Black Flag for having TOO MUCH WATER. It's a flucking pirate game based at sea ffs. By the same token, they should down-mark Fallout 4 for having too much land

They also gave the new MGS 10/10, which it isn't in my opinion.

Seriously though, reviews for Fallout 4 seem to be almost universally fantastic.

MGS games get 10/10 from me too - for their boringness. I'd rather play My Little Pony 4 than those turd-fests.

I just don't get why Fallout is popular. Nothing post-apocalyptic is ever interesting or exciting. I watched that IGN page where they have the first 20mins of F4 as a video - the most exciting part was then you got to punch COCKROACHES.

Some strong opinions here, folks. Only made more persuasive by the use of capital letters.

Fallout 4 is just amazing.

Really don't get how those that love Skyrim/Morrowind etc don't like Fallout, it basically is Skyrim with different skins.

It's the setting Hero. Zombies games and nuclear wasteland games just don't appeal to me. I don't understand why anyone would want to spend their life scavenging around a mostly dead planet picking up bits of scrap metal.

The only thing that's not in Fallout though that you'd fap over in Skyrim is vikings, apart from that it's the same game!

The shouts were probably the thing I liked least in Skyrim tbh.

I'm thinking about getting Witcher 3 or Shadow of Mordor

Steer clear of SoM, did not enjoy that at all and the story to me at least wasn't clear and resulted in a lot of aimless wandering around much like ESO.

Fallout is nothing like Elder Scrolls, I like both but i'm with Azzy on this, the setting makes it a weaker game for me.

What about Witcher, I have only heard good things and I have read most of the comics attached to it

I enjoyed SoM. Was basically a different take on Assassin's Creed. Very similar gameplay on combat but I enjoyed the Mordor setting. Taking down the top generals was genuinely difficult in many instances and you really had to work at isolating his underlings first.

Finished Witcher and it is class if you like RPG's

sack Mordor off and go for Mad Max they are the same game...

i spent two hours crafting iron bars to get my rating up

never played any of the fall outs, may have to give them a try. whens backward compatibility out? last i saw it just said November

think i may give shadow of mordor a go soon, huge lotr nut so that bit alone sells it to me. really fancy the witcher, already played the last two but my mates just going through the recent expansion pack then said i can have it so might aswell wait

Im pretty sure backwards compatibility starts today, but they are only rolling out a few at a time. Black Ops one is out in December, so im looking forward to some old school Zombies!!!!

With Fallout 4 on the Xbone you actually get Fallout 3 free anyway if you don't have a copy.

I hated Shadow of Mordor, sold it for £1 less than I paid for it. Stupid people on ebay. Also hated Watchdogs and though I didn't like the look of Witcher 3 at the time, I'm quite taken with the supposed 400 hours of gameplay. For £22 you can't go wrong.

Witcher is one I'll get round to eventually as it ticks every box of my preferred game styles.
Think I'm going to wait on EA Access though for Star Wars however lovely it looks.

Backwards compatibility is available from today, just need to update the Xbox One's system and all your old purchased 360 games become available to download. Got stuck in a seemingly never ending maze of security when I tried to download Dirt 3 for free via GWG.

Think the new layout may need some getting use to, think aside from fallout three i probably wont care much about backwards compatibility until red dead and LA Noire are included

I had the same goosebumps when playing as I did when Titanfall first came out. It's an astonishing piece of gaming, even though it's not as technically polished as COD or Battlefield. It's just stunning, the different game modes make each map a joy to play, and it's very customizable. I'll be aiming to change my rebel face to a Sullustan one once I reach level 45

I cant wait for battlefront, just need to find some time off somewhere having also recently invested in black ops 3 (which is garbage, or at least single player is) and fallout 4

I got Battlefront, great game but lacks a campaign mode, the missions are fun and the Survival would be better if I had someone to do it with as it get ridiculous after Lvl 9, Multiplayer is HUGE loads of options, I have only tried one or two modes, the base capture one (the name escapes me) was loads of fun

I saw that it only comes with four multiplayer maps. FOUR!

Stinks of overpriced DLC, typical. I won't be bothering with it. I refuse to support games like this.

I got the preorder version so got the Battle of Jukku early access maps, there are 12 maps over 5 locations so I don't know where you saw that

Still, there are plenty of complaints about lack of content.

I remember buying the season pass for Battlefield 4 and then barely ever using it because of crashes, lag and other problems. This was after absolutely loving Battlefield 3.

I guess I just don't like this EA trend of selling somewhat of a shell of a game for full price and then bolting on DLC. Bungie did the same thing with Destiny and the number of people playing that has fallen through the floor.

Yeah as I said I would have loved a Story mode that tied in with the new film, it would have made the game great, the missions are fun but they are lacking substance, I turned it on lastnight and found the all my indicators in the game had disappeared (Blaster site, radar etc etc) in both modes so I ended up turning it off and played Walking Dead S1 instead (top game)
