First topic message reminder :

I wondered how things were going , I am pretty jealous as I'm waiting for Friday for my PS4.

The Kinnect apparently works well, how does BF4 feel to have 64 players online. Is Ryse a bit of a disappointment or are you enjoying it.

Dead Rising 3 how are you getting on with it? The videos with hundreds of zombies looked cool.

I read a test on sound levels and I think its quieter than the 360. If you had a PS3 is it quieter than that?

Yeah, I'm not into WD at all but I started it lastnight and got hooked, good story development and p1ss easy to play, worth a few hours (if that) of game time

I thought Shadow of Mordor was excellent by the way. The Nemesis system, which is where different orcs will remember what happened in battles happened between you in the past and their army will be in constant flux with different enemies rising up, with different strengths and weaknesses was something really cool and new. Then it essentially built upon other franchises' styles. It's fighting style is similar to the Arkham Batman games, much better than Assassin's Creed sword fighting style anyway, and then it does have free-running aspect of Assassin's Creed, but then also has animals to ride, bow and arrows, and different elements like mind controlling enemies and beasts.

I think it's easy to play, whilst also offering a challenge and if you like Lord of the Rings it's just an opportunity to spend more time in that setting.

It's also got a lot better reviews than Mad Max did, which by most accounts was an 'okay' game. Shadow of Mordor gets consistently 9/10.

I'm glad I held my nerve on Battlefront, does seem to be another Titanfall in that it looks visually stunning and amazing to play for the 1st two weeks but after that it just becomes more of the same.

Fallout 4 meanwhile, well currently trying to clearout various buildings in the ruins of Boston and finding a particular Super Mutant with a missile-launcher who's on some scaffolding particularly tricky, need to get all my VAT headshots with my sniper rifle to hit to take him out but just not getting lucky currently.

All FPS are the same in my eyes its how much you enjoy them is what matters, Battlfront has issues but fixable ones, it would be fun to play with people online especially survival as it reminds me of Gears of War 3, we'll just have to se what happens over the next few months

Some FPS though keep you coming back for more, some don't.
Titanfall's a prime example of this, stunning to look at and from both the demo and the first few games you think wow. Quickly though it then starts losing its appeal and I worry this'll go the same way.

I have never played Titanfall so I can't comment on that but as I pointed out earlier the lack of story mode in Battlefront was a BIG mistake, it feels like the game is for multiplayer and group play and like me if non of your mates have it, its a lonely game to play Laugh and limits what you can do but at the moment its enjoyable and I still get the buzz when flying a Tie Fighter or driving a Speeder bike but thats the Star Wars fan in me

Yes, yes and thrice yes.

Basically it gives you the following:

1. All EA games free around 6 months after initial release
2. Free access to brand new games 5 days prior to their launch (5 hours play)
3. Discount off the game if bought through the online store.

Think its probably better doing a 12 month sub Dicey, assuming of course the costs are still the same of either £4 a month or £15 for the year (unsure of what this is in euros though)

I would expect so, though in all honesty I've never checked for one.

Edit: Yes NHL 15 is included:

http://www.xbox.com/en-GB/entertainment/xbox-one/live-apps/ea-access

Currently it has 12 different games on there (14 if you count the older versions of FIFA and Madden NFL)

Depends, if you're interested in FIFA and like, EA do a pretty good deal for Xbox 1 where you pay like £20 a year and get full access to all their games 6 months after release, and a discount on them before that.

PS4 is the more powerful console, although I haven't really noticed much of a difference. Don't think console specific optimisation is really a priority.

There isn't really any exclusives I'm interested in so can't comment.

Is the initial love for Star Wars wearing off? I sense the lack of single player is making it a tad Titanfallesque.

I actually got rid of my Xbox for that very reason in general Hero, too many RPG's and too many games concentrating on the online element; there's a lack of games like Skyrim or the original COD's.

I much prefer Battlefield of the two, I think I was the only person to enjoy the cop one but that was mainly for the single player story, I understand why it wasn't to everyone's tastes though, the fact it's called Battlefield should really then involve battlefields.

I hated Ghosts, story and online. Advanced Warfare's story was immense, but online was poor. Not played Blops 3 as I didn't like the first two much, but will do so once the price has gone down.

Still love playing Star Wars Battlefront though. Never a dull moment, and it's so difficult to camp at spawn points.
