Your home town
I found something rather interesting whilst scanning t'internet this morning.
Chester, my home city, is apparently the 5th prettiest (or best, depending on your interpretation) city in Europe, beating such giants as Prague, Budapest, Santorini, Venice and Bruges. Now, seeing as the list was voted on by American's, we can assume it is 100% accurate and fully informed, seeing as they do enjoy travel so much, and has to be considered as exhaustively researched and fully comprehensive a survey as possible.
Can anyone trump Chester as the prettiest city in the UK? I can only think of York and Bath that perhaps come close, but Bath is too southern to be considered and York is too Yorkshireish to really be worthy of comparison. So it is official, Chester is the greatest city in the UK and by extension, people from Chester have to be considered as the greatest citizens of the UK.
I think you'll all agree.

Gone from 5th to 1st in one paragraph.........That's impressive
Must admit once I've got past the irritational aspect of being dragged there I do like the ambience of the place.....
Great place..Shame about the people..

Nope. I have said prettiest in the UK in the second paragraph. Read the article, Beefcake, the 4 that beat it are not in the UK.TRUSSMAN66 wrote:Gone from 5th to 1st in one paragraph.........That's impressive

Re: Your home town
In all fairness Chester is lovely. York is very nice though as well. Genuinely could not pick between the two of them. Would like to think it goes without say that should Rotherham ever be given city status it will romp to top of the league.
As an aside me and TSMR went to York for our first anniversary and Chester for our tenth.

I must admit, I did enjoy Bath very much. Independant shops, restaurants and especially pubs in abundance. Lovely, lovely cricket ground there too. I went to that spa place with the rooftop pool and all the aromatherapy steam rooms. Sounds a bit homo but cracking for copping an eyeful of knorks / minge.

Did you contribute in any way to the prettiness of Chester, Tino?
Or are you claiming some sort of credit for something you had nothing to do with?

Re: Your home town
I once went near ipswich by accident horwich hulwich maybe - was trying to take the scenic route to luton from hatfield - through hertford and stevenage - instead of going the 2nd exit towards wheathampsted - carried on going straight and one of the signs proclaiming the next few exits to be closed for works had been blown down so missed it. Then my mate tried to be clever and we ended up at colchester and his stark refusal to get directions or even slow down to take stock made us do a O turn rather than a U turn and we got onto a120. Weirdest coincidence - the petrol station i'd ended up was manned by the guy who had sacked me from my weekend job with bestway. Rather an awkward moment!

Can anyone trump Chester as the prettiest city in the UK? I can only think of York and Bath that perhaps come close, but Bath is too southern to be considered and York is too Yorkshireish to really be worthy of comparison.
