Support For Wales
First topic message reminder :
Rugby seems to be a sport with an uncommon number of Hoodoo's.
There was the All Blacks managing to find new and novel ways to be denied their rightfully deserved world cup in 1995 and 2007. There's the way France always seem to pull out a decent game against NZ when everyone else is pounding them. There's Ireland's extraordinary ability to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory against NZ, there's the Welsh Wait for a win over NZ stretching back nearly 60 years, and then there's the way England seem to manage to repeatedly deny themselves a 6N grandslam, even when it looks so certain that they've already made the video.
The latest evolving Hoodoo seems to be Wales v Australia. Wales at one of their strongest peaks in the professional game, and Australia approaching their lowest ebb ever (one more loss will equal their worst season in history I believe). Yet somehow, despite demonstrating they have the players, and the coach during the Lions tour of Australia, the Welsh record against Australia resembles the scooter park at Croydon Domino's L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L...
We here on 606 are a community of sorts, and communities are supposed to help out their constituents during the Dark Times. I remember what it was like going back a few years when NZ held the choker tag, and believe me it felt bad enough as it was without having every punter and his dog leaping in and twisting the knife.
So I propose that should Wales fall inevitably short on the weekend, that we maintainan a WUM free environment. We should discuss the positives that Wales and Gatland can take away from the match. We should consider seriously any grievance with a referee over specific incidents and not adopt a mocking tone. There's simply no one-up-manship to be had in heaping any kind of derision on top of what would undeniably be the agony that the long wait for the chance for redemption goes on for another year.

So annoyed at both no. 10's for being so totally inept, and failing to take advantage when Australia were down to 14 men.
12 man line out, my foot.

It just goes to show that if GE tips you to win you've got no chance.

GE has always impressed me. It's hugely impressive how little he knows.
