First topic message reminder :

That's why these pursuits should be undertaken in videogames and not in real life. Real life has a nasty habit of finding you out to be the hopeless loser you don't think you are.

I think in Denmark they charge people for doctors appointments and they get it back when they attend. If you have a reason for missing a doctors appointment, then it can't have been a serious ailment in the first place.
Don't be ridiculous. Since when does it have to be "serious" to warrant a Doctor's appointment?? Who decides that in any case?

Since when is anything so serious that you can't phone up to cancel?

We should be able to make all bookings on line and then have the ability to cancel within 24 hours. If you don't do that a 10 pound fine should be fine to pay out.

But that doesn't work does it? I want to avoid losing my fee? I phone up an hour or so before I'm due. Stupid. Where do you draw the line?

Don't get me wrong, there's too much GP time wasted by this sort of thing. That said, I'm not sure I like a system that keeps me waiting an hour for my appointment, for which I arrive in plenty of time...even if I do understand the reasons why that might happen.

Wear a helmet Monty, and don't do anything stupid.
Happy new year all.
Always wear a helmet now - I have bones of biscuit and am notoriously bad at snowboarding. Usually have to have 6-12 weeks off after my annual trip to mend whatever I've broken that year...
As for anything stupid - well that's a nailed on cert.

My one and only time skiing on snow - as opposed the the dry slope - resulted in a fall. While standing waiting for he chair lift.

Didn't play football for about 2-3 months after the incident.

busy episode last night.

i thought wednesday's bomb plot was a bit of a footnote to the episode, but last nights mystery was rather better woven into the storyline. good stuff.

Last nights ep for me was very different but really quite spectacular after consideration. Original with a massive shift in direction that I think well get a lot of people winging again!

I have a feeling the next episode will be as dark as it gets to contrast the lightness or the first two eps.

They will want to leave us hanging again!!!

I think my bones are indestructible to be honest.

I used to skateboard. And have stacked it on half pipes or down flights of stairs or wherever on to many occasions to remember without a hint of a fracture.

I am going to try and get out snow boarding soon. BUt I think i will need to get down the gym first. I am getting pretty unfit these days. Its pretty shocking. Those machines were you slide your feet about from side to side sound good.

It's the thighs that get me. Long traverses or long runs really hurt when you only do a week or two a year.

Love hiking for fresh powder though.

Fair play for doing it that long.

It looks a killer.

I have never done it, but do some of the moves that It involves.
Mainly the ones that concentrate on the abs.

Trouble with it is that although it tones you up no end, it gets to become really tedious and boring, It worked well whilst I was recovering from an injury though and I was able to start getting out running again.
Be a good thing to do month 1 twice a year, keep the Lowry at bay.

I've no doubt put on a bit of Lowry over the festive period.

My sister in law has it, dont think shes started it yet.
Would like to give it a go, see how i do.

They say you have to do it for 45 mins a day 6 days a week, would'nt be able to commit to that time period.(get my excuse in).

There's about a 10 minute "stretching" bit in the middle, waste of time, so I used to fast forward that and crack on as I agree that 45 mins is too long.
One of the 6 days is a really easy one too. So it isn't too much of a burden.

Not too bad on a board (tho lazy). I find I can rest against the bindings which takes a load off the legs. Having said that it's rare for us to do a whole run without stopping as we have loads of different skill levels (although as the only boarder now I can see me having to cane everything just to keep up with the skiers!) 2 weeks and counting...

Weirdly, the Insanity workout is the top non-sponsored link when you Google just "insanity", but I knew the term from the insanely long and insanely annoying infomercials on some of the satellite channels.

Again we see a sports person tell the world that they are gay and it becomes headline news. Thomas Hitzlsperger is gay, so what? By making such a big deal out if, it reinforces the idea that these people are so different. Imagine if Tiger Woods told the world that he is black.

Doesn't seem to be an issue in the womens game. Plenty of rug munching going on in the locker room.

Mr r.castle I think you watch to much porn. I bet none of the lpga golfers are going down on each other in the changing rooms. It would make decent porn story I suppose though. But who needs a story anyway?? How mangled gay lady golfers are there aswell, I have little knowledge of the ladies game.
