Leonardo Sarto Empty Leonardo Sarto

Post by toml Sat 21 Dec 2013 - 8:20

Watched the Ulster v Zebre game last night, and poor as it was this fella stood out. He looked far more dangerous than anyone else on the park. Does anyone know much about him? He looks more naturally dangerous than any Italian backs I can think of.

Scored the first try for Italy vs Scotland in the summer too, although it was a pretty soft one

I remember his try for Italy. Honest to god, his first touch in international rugby, and he scores. Amaze balls.

Oh god, are we now going to have another debate about wingers' strike rates? Very Happy

I wouldn't be surprised if Zebre get at least one win against Treviso.

Venditti is one to watch out for too.

He's a major threat with the ball. Thank goodness they only gave him the ball twice because each time he got it he made us look like the keystone cops.

On the other hand, Payne stepped him all to easily. Flat footed in defence, which is criminal when he was covering the fullback position.

Sarto may look good in attack, but everytime I've seen that Samoan Sinoti Sinoti (above video) get the balls he cut defenses to shreds.  Big loss for Zebre that hes gone back to NZ.

I'll have a look at Venditti ta. What about Tommaso Allan? Is he good enough to be a long term fixture.

I didn't realise Sarto was the cover on Payne. Maybe he could be the Italian Tim Visser?

Venditti being good is hardly new, I had him as easily one of the best wings in the 2013 6N, had an excellent tournament.
