Barclays Premier League 13/14 Thread Part 'something'
First topic message reminder :
Boring game but good result for all the top teams around these two really. Difference between Arsenal winning the league and not is a world class striker, because in tight games like these in the big games a world class striker will finish the chance Giroud had. He's been excellent this season but misses far too many to deliver a title. That's what makes Suarez/Agueor and RVP last season the difference in the end.

I find incoherent waffle quite hard to understand, next time take a deep breath and think before you type.
I am waffling, how about the guy who cried conspiracy after every El Clasico match about the referees and who coached one of the biggest floppers around now complaining about other players flopping and other teams crying about the officiating. I am no United fan, but I give Moyes a lot of credit for calling Young out on his flopping instead of having a go at other teams and other players, a real class move if you ask me.

I actually like Mourhino Socal, I find his interviews really funny and I think he's a charismatic guy.
He does have a 'us against the world attitude' which fires up his team, I see nothing wrong with that unless he gains real power with UEFA or something.

It's no worse than Wengers old 'I didn't see it' the moment his team get away with something or one of them has been sent off.

Watch it again, Suarez digs himself in and down to make sure Terry, who he sees coming, is impeded and then backs in. These get called as fouls all over the pitch, mainly bigger men, and if you want to play that physical game then dont cry when its brought back to you by someone who is far smarter at it like Terry.
I've gone back and watched it again, his intention is nowhere as much as my memory served me, my apologies. I still think hes too soft and its not a penalty, clumsy more than anything, but you don't get penalties for them and especially if you collapse like you're shot. Happens all the time, if you go down like a shot swan for everything then you've got no chance of people trusting your footing. Could have been given, but bit soft

Mourinhio is a credit to the PL. And i have allways rated him as a person and a character
But if he was English he wouldn't be able to talk about 'english values' without being called racist!! which to be faire is more of a problem with the PC world we live in

Mourinho's schtick wore thin a long while ago. A great coach but undoubtedly a greater hypocrite. He probably knows he is and wont care.

Accepted and much appreciated m'man...but I do take exception with the going down like a shot swan comment. In the past Suarez has definitely looked for help from the officials but this season there's any number of times when he's tackled and still trying to get a shot away at goal when he's on the ground. He was hacked down by Azpilacueta and still wanted to get up and play but the ref called it back for a freekick. Even as an LFC fan and an admirer of Suarez I've cringed in the past with some of his antics but this season I think you'd be hard pressed to justifiably accuse him of constant cheating. Like many have said, officials seem to be going on his reputation rather than what's actually happening and I'm sorry but that has to stop.Dolphin Ziggler wrote:DAVE667 wrote:Nope, Terry climbs all over Suarez and puts his arms across his face and then his bodyweight on top of him. It's just a shame that no-one's shown Jose the incident where Hazard throws his right leg out between Lucas's legs to try and claim a penalty. To a man (except "The Short-Sighted One") people agree that Hazard is guilty of cheating, and, according to the rules of the game, should have been booked for diving.

I wouldnt say Suarez is notably more than any of the others now, and I do think people have to go down nowadays, but it means you cant get them all. Joe Cole has been dying like a swan when he goes down for as long as I can remember. Doesnt mean hes a cheat, but it means occasionally he'll get overlooked for being soft.
Oh Moyesy. You're right, but dont tell people. They are already worried. You need a transfer for PR's sake.

Moyes playing games. Everyone knows United need players & they've got the funds. He's just trying to divert the attention away from the club. They made a mess of the last window, fully expect them to be firing off bids for players.
Moyes has had scouts watching Sporting Lisbon players & was in Madrid watching Koke only two weeks ago. Yeah, we're doing no business this window........pull the other one son!
Newcastle linked with a 17 year-old French defender called Nathan Dekoké. Cabaye looking to be staying this window.

Feel we need to beat WBA today, just to keep the momentum & keep in touch. If we lose, feel the season could just peter out & us just battling for 8th with Southampton. Boring, no-mans-land position in table. C'mon Lads!

Olly, if you can't go to Palace & win then Norwich deserve to go down. I think your better than that though.
C'mon Ameobi, it's been over a year in the league since you banged one home. Time to deliver.
