Will you support Reading or Swansea?
Cheer on Swansea?
Gutted about last nights result - really wanted an all Wales final and a Welsh team in the Premier League next season.
Now we all know that Swansea and Cardiff have their, lets say differences. But, for the benefit of seeing a Welsh team in the PL next season, would you cheer on Swansea in the final?
Would you cheer on your local rivals?

Re: Cheer on Swansea?
Part of me shuddered at the thought of a Cardiff v Swansea final. I've seen the emotion involved and the atmosphere it creates post-playoff final first hand when Watford beat Leeds in Cardiff - and with so much at stake it's very tense and not very nice. I think the aftermath of a Cardiff v Swansea Championship Playoff Final might not do Wales any favours at all.
That said, I would love to see the game if everyone behaved themselves, and perhaps I am being too negative. Obviously I know 99.9% of fans are great, but they don't get on the news. And the english media would love to rip into any ill Welsh behaviour.
Now I need to decide whether I want Swansea to get promoted more than I want Brendan Rogers not to.

You have the double whammy of having Reading promoted, who stole Rogers from you!
Re: Cheer on Swansea?
They redeemed themselves by sacking him

Re: Cheer on Swansea?
By the way - I DO want Swansea to get promoted more than I want Rogers not to.
I'd love to see a Welsh team in the Premiership, and it can only be good for the national team.
I'll just have to bare his smug, grinning, self-important, judas face on MOTD every week and try with all my might not to punch the screen. I'll use the old portable just in case.

But you would also get some joy surely as they get hammered most weeks and get to see him squirm on MotD!
Re: Cheer on Swansea?
Well as a Cardiff fan believe it or not I would be HAPPY to see the Jacks go up. At the end of the day they deserve to go up as they have been playing good, entertaining football for the best part of the season and signing players like Scott Sinclair, Fabio Borini was a masterstroke. Unlike Cardiff who have played negative and repetitive tatics and signed duds like Bywater, Keinan and Naylor. They are a Welsh club and it's about time a Welsh club made the Prem as the London biased media will have no option but to give some column inches to a Welsh football club! Of course most Cardiff fans would completely disagree with this as after all they are the "Jack Scum" This attitude I just dont get. You have to give credit where credit is due. Even if they are your rivals. I wish the Jacks well.

I personally wanna see Swansea move up I would like to see what they would bring too the table in the prem haven't been in the prem for a long time now and it's about time they return.
Re: Cheer on Swansea?
Londonwelsh, you're right in that Swansea deserve to go up. For me they were by far the best team in the playoff semi's. However I don't want them to go up for the purely selfish reason of wanting the bragging rights of Cardiff being the first Welsh team in the Prem!

Think that Swansea played the best football in the division, they should go up.Plus it will give Cardiff a kick up the backside.
