Do you think he's got a get out clause for if Worcs get relegated?

Pretorius knows Ryan well, so in some ways this makes sense; however the back row is one of the few places Wuss have strength, surely the backs and front row need to be the priority?

Re: Pretorius to Worcester
Pretorious had a great season for the Blues a when he first broke through a few years back, hasn't really kicked on since then, a decent 6 but not an 8. Solid club player, he got a novelty Welsh cap against Japan, but he was never going to break into the first team.

Not a massive loss for the Blues to be honest. As mentioned, he had a decent first year but not much since. Got capped in the summer against Japan on what was pretty much a development tour.
Strange choice of places to go though as Worcester will be relegated. unless this is maybe a more long term process with a move in to the coaching set up at a later point being dangled.

Or perhaps relegation will be scrapped this year and Wuss are already aware of this and therefore able to continue their recruitment in accordance with a Premiership side?

Where has that come from?? I'd heard that Bristol have recruited very heavily for Prem class players next year

Bristol have spent plenty but haven't set the Championship alive yet. London Welsh look very well placed to make a return, either way relegation looks pretty certain.

Just a hunch based on the possibility of expanding the Prem to 14 or maybe even 16 teams with or without the Welsh regions. I am probably wrong though and personally I don't rate Pretorius that highly. I am just surprised that Wuss have been able to nab him. I am sure some other Prem sides would have been at least looking at him.

No great lost to the Blues, seems like a strange move but they must be paying more than the Blues, not bad for a team most likely to be relegated.

I think Luke Hamilton is ready to be brought on now anyway. Never god to lose someone like Pretorious, but they do have someone capable to come in.

They already have a six and captain in Jonathan Thomas and an 8 in Argentinean international Senatore. Shows a distinct lack of ambition from Pretorius as he'll be playing Championship rugby next season.

Maybe he just wanted job security? the Welsh regions are in a total mess at the moment.
