Well, nothing on here much for discussion so thought this could begin.
At the moment Westisbest is probably pulling his hair out, whilst Wigan are marching on towards there second FA Cup in a row.

If he isnt part of the under 21 scene any more- he has to go to the cup for me.
he could also be a good impact sub- big strong lad with fitness in that heat.
same reasoning for shaw going as well.
I would feel sorry for cole . But thats the way things go..

Been to Hull. Not as bad as people think! Mind you my expectations levels were hardly great. Wolverhampton is the worst place i've been to, along with Derby and Wigan.

Im buzzing for them. But the thought of hearing Dave Whelan talk about breaking his leg in a cup final, isn't pleasant.

Great game. Well done Wigan. Just a shame the game was hidden away on BT Sport. The FA need a rethink about how they promote football in this country (esp regarding obtainability and participation).

So much for the vaunted quadruple. Seriously, as an Arsenal fan I am almost more worried now that there is no team that can match us talent wise and we are the heavy favorites. By the way nothing has been handed to us on a silver platter we beat 3 top 6 premier sides in a row to get to this point.

Nobody said that. What they mean is if you can't be the best of Hull, Sheffield United and Wigan then it is an epic fail. Worse than the League Cup defeat to Birmingham.

Actually, Olly i believe did say that, I wasn't quoting you. I agree it would be a monumental choke job. But like City, Chelsea, and United learned this season its a cup competition and the smaller clubs take these things really seriously and in one match anything can happen. So I won't be counting my chickens yet.

Amazing from Wigan, what the cup is all about. Brilliant.
Yeah if Arsenal don't win this now, it will be hilarious, they surely can't screw it up now. Handed to them.

Again how have we been handed anything. We beat 3 straight top six sides in the premier league to get to this point. Everton, Liverpool, and Spurs. We earned our opportunity and if, if we win will have thoroughly earned it and nobody handed us anything. All the big clubs crashed out and we didn't.

Spurs at their weakest ebb, Liverpool outplayed you, funny how the ref conspiracy werent aired when Arsenal got lucky. Everton was nicely done.
I do agree, you earn a cup by staying in it. but its not exactly a classic win.

Exactly, I love the double standard. City are 9 points out of the league, out of the FA cup, soon to be out of Europe. All this with the biggest payroll in the sport and the biggest money spent in transfer over the last 5 years and all anyone can talk about is how Arsenal are bottlers. This after we rolled a quality Everton side 4-1.

Actually, I criticized Webb for his performance. He missed a penalty for Liverpool but he also missed an obvious redcard to Gerrard and a penalty against Skirtel who kicked Cazorla with his studs up and was nowhere near the ball. But I know only when Arsenal benefit from a blown call does it count. Gerrard should have been carded three times in that match and only was carded for his second bad foul. And if Skrtel kicked Cazorla anywhere else on the field like that he would have been carded, but since it was in the box the ref turned his head. How does a team get scored on twice, fail to get a goal in open play and outplay the opposition. Tell me did Gerrard not deserve to go off, did Skrtel not foul Cazorla?

I dont really care to be honest, it only counts against Arsenal in this world where you think people care. My point really was that I don't feel like Arsenal will have done fantastically to win it. And I dont think they'll care one bit. As a neutral, it would be nice to see Arsenal do something convincingly

Good you go on with your desire to see Arsenal do something convincingly, I will be happy to watch my team ride their skill and luck to the FA cup if it comes to pass.

It's a bit of a stretch to say that Liverpool outplayed us when they didn't score from open play

It's just all set up for Arsenal to crash like they did against Birmingham in 2011, isn't it?
I remember watching that game around at the house of an Arsenal fan that I was hoping to get off with. Sadly, after Birmingham's win, it all went south.
Bloody Obafemi Martins had ruined Arsenal's chances and, as it turned out, mine.
I've never liked Birmingham after that.

big difference is the league cup final is not as big as the fa cup final so the players will be more motivated for the fa cup. Also the league cup final is bang in the middle of the epl season whilst the fa cup is at the end so the players can concentrate 100% on the fa cup hilst in the league cup final arsenal were also battling for 4th place.

I think your all forgetting about the Blades, We love been the underdogs as it has shown in the matches we have played in such as Villa and Fullum just because were a League one team doesn't mean that we can't go all they way and win the thing, Arsenal always seam to bottle it at the last minute so if they do beat Wigan and we beat Hull then its game on boys.

Fulham ain't Arsenal. But as a gunner I am not underestimating any of the other 3 teams left in this competition. Anyone can put you out and it is a great accomplishment your side has made it this far it is the beauty of the Cup.

I know what your saying mate anyone can beat anyone in this cup but I fear that if we do beat Hull and you get to the final then you may hammer us as we have not beaten you in a long, Long time.

I ain't looking past Wigan, City did that. Wigan obviously have some FA cup voodoo working for them. But if we did get you guys in the final I would still be concerned. Because all the pressure would be on Arsenal and you guys would play like your shorts are on fire. That is why you always see the smaller clubs punch above their weight in these competitions.

We nearly did in 97. Went to Leicester in the 5th round and had to go to a replay so the tie was won in London. Semi at Highbury.
Would have done it in 07 if the semis were in London. In 2012 we had to go to a replay in the 5th round with Birmingham.

I remember watching that 97 game in a pub. Controversial penalty if I remember correctly.
The start of something big was that Cup run.
