Two years ago Blount and Talib were getting run out of the 4-12 Buccaneers. Now they are on a Super Bowl run with the Patriots.

I bet nobody saw Blount scoring three TDs in the playoffs when he joined the Patriots.

I was just about to post about how NE don't seem to be getting enough pressure on Luck, but if he's going to keep throwing INTs I don't mind so much...

He was a bit unlucky with the second one. Receiver should have caught it.Skyforger wrote:I was just about to post about how NE don't seem to be getting enough pressure on Luck, but if he's going to keep throwing INTs I don't mind so much...
Blount has had three rushing TDs in the first half. The Cleveland Browns had only four rushing TDs all season.

Just when I thought the Colts were back in the game, Blount breaks out on a 73 yard TD run.

That was kinda surreal. Legarrete Blount and Jamie Collins led Pats to the AFC title game.

Greg Schiano thanks for isolating LeGarette Blount, and painting him into a moron, you deserve tremendous credit.

Lol Thomond, you make me laugh sometimes. I remember when you were saying how rubbish Blount was. We simply didn't need him. Martin is better and Blount is not what I'd call a complementary back.
Fair play to Blount, he ran well but the blocking, especially from the full backs and tight ends was superb.

Yeah we do have some good blocking tight ends in Hooman and Mulligan, makes a difference.
Jamie Collins really had a breakout game but he's been playing well for a while now! Good to see Dennard healthy and making some plays again
Don't see us beating Denver in Denver if it happens. So come on San Diego!
The Super Bowl is gonna be a veteran pocket passer from the AFC vs a young mobile QB from the NFC. Changing of the guard?

That's why you should never back against Belichick in the playoffs.
Belichick and Brady v Pagano and Luck = mismatch

I hope Denver get through, just to see the old Manning vs Brady/Belichick matchup one more time.
I'm already seriously excited about next year. We gonna have one serious team if we can resign Talib and Edelman and add some nice pieces in the draft/free agency.

Can you back up that evidence Pr4wn? Because I said on twitter back in august he was the runner Tampa needed but not one it deserves. I also wrote last year how the tandem of Martin and Blount could be amazing for the bucs http://v2journal.com/muscle-hamster-and-blount-force-trauma.html

Must be getting you confused with someone else then, apologies.
I'm still happy that he's not on our team. He's a rectum by all accounts. I'd rather have Doug Martin and Mike James.

Warren Sapp was an ass, a hell of a player though. We've got good RB depth for sure, but Blount was a very talented guy. I'd be more annoyed about Bennett personally (Talib is annoying but having Talib would almost certainly have meant no Revis so that's okay with me), he had the injury playing with it for most of the year still doing really well and they choose not to resign him anyway? It baffles me, the biggest mistake of the Dom era.

Re: Ongoing NFL Discussion Thread V
Yeah the Bennett one is the one that don't make sense, considering he isn't really on too much in Seattle.
I wouldn't be surprised if we let Blount go tbh, unless he signs a team friendly deal

I can't see Bennett sticking in Seattle, free agent again at the end of the year, and he will geto ffered a lot. Seattle will need to save a lot of cap room for extending guys who are getting next to nothing in Wilson, Sherman, Wagner and even Earl Thomas. Some guys are going to become expendable

Seahawks remind me of the Ravens from last year. I thought they looked vulerable last night and would expect a better team to beat them but then I said the same about the Ravens last year before they played the Broncos, Patriots and 49ers.

He's got some limitations but Blount can run the ball in this league. I've liked his ability since his college years at Oregon and wanted us to use a 6th or 7th round pick on him back then.

So despite outplaying San Fran for the majority of that quarter Carolina goes in behind because you make one conservative ass field goal call on 4th and 1 from the 1.
Its the playoffs GO FOR IT

Then call a more creative play than running it up the gut. Spread em out and let Cam read option it or something, you got to go for it there.
Worst thing is San Fran gets it backed up, and you saw how that ended up last time, was nearly a pick six, but you got great field position.
Wimped out of it big time
