Most versatile player
First topic message reminder :
Just wondering what player is the most versatile in the positions he can play (still playing today).
I'd probably think James O'Connor is up there - 10, wing, centre and FB are positions that he's played. James Hook can cover 10, centre and FB.

Percy started his career at centre, I think he might have played flyhalf a few times, and ended at Fullback

Re: Most versatile player
You're quite correct Rodders, he played 9 tests at centre, 5 tests at wing, 5 tests at flyhalf and the rest at fullback.

Re: Most versatile player
Matt Giteau was very versatile at the start of his career. In the 2003 WC he was 9 cover, then he progressed to 10, finishing his career as a brilliant 12.
Poitrenaud deserves some plaudits for moving pretty seamlessly from the back three to the 12 jersey. You get many winger/fb playing at 13, but moving to 12 is much harder, especially when you've got Fofana, Bastareud, Roberts etc to line up against!

Re: Most versatile player
Thomas Castaignede as well similar to Montgomery lined-up at FH, centre, wing and fullback to a high standard at varying times in his career.

Glorious Empire, plays expertly in the WUM role but is definitely a Troll, just wish the management would bench him until he returns to the form he showed when he was the G H O S …….

I think you're a little obsessed with GG Scratch.
Just ignore him and he eventually loses interest
