Coldwell And Matchroom Come Together For Davies
After guiding the highly-rated Robbie Davies Jnr to four impressive wins in the first six months of his professional career, Dave Coldwell has agreed an exclusive deal with Eddie Hearn’s Matchroom Sport that will see the Liverpool youngster feature on Sky Sports. Davies has already had the pleasure of participating on live Sky shows following his appearance on the excellent Derry Mathews/Curtis Woodhouse event in September and he’ll follow that up with an outing at the Liverpool Echo Arena on March 15th.
“This is excellent news for me and I’m still pinching myself that it’s happened,” beamed an ecstatic Davies. “ It’s still early days in my career at the moment but everything has gone pretty much to plan so far and I’m really looking forward to building on that. I’ve been brought along at a good pace by the team at Coldwell Boxing and it shows you how much faith Dave has got in me by getting me this opportunity. Eddie Hearn has put on some good shows at the Echo Arena and now I’m going to be a part of one.”
Coldwell added, “This is really great news for Robbie and it’s great for Coldwell Boxing too. Robbie is one of the most talented members of our stable and his talent deserves the exposure that it’s going to get. Once again, it’s an absolute pleasure to be working alongside Eddie Hearn and Matchroom Sport and here’s hoping that it’s a partnership that is hugely beneficial for Robbie and his career. He’ll be appearing on both Coldwell Boxing and Matchroom shows so it should be a really busy time for Robbie. He’s got a huge opportunity to show the boxing audience exactly what he’s about.”
