The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
First topic message reminder :
Welcome all to the new pub. Hopefully the traditions from the last 606 will continue here in our new home. The only new rule I have really is, see that Tommy Bowe signed picture there above the bar? If anyone defaces that, they're barred. There'll be banter, indepth discussion, some rambling but above all mutual respect as always. It all looks very swish, but we still serve traditional beverages and food. So what'll it be?
Oh if you have any complaints by the way, don't look at me - speak to rugbydreamer cause she's a mod!
Now to fire up the jukebox...

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
As well as allowing people to sell hookie DVDs in the back bar, I am also noticing some shameless plugging in here. Like this one:

Please vote peeps! I want to post it on Twitter tomorrow - remember, its to try and attract people over here!

Glas - I didnt remove it but I was going to this morning (I saw it late last night).
The reason is, we dont allow images on the site. It can host them with ease but we are trying to make this place as inconspicuous as possible to allow people to surf whilst they are at work. Big Avatars will draw attention to peoples screens (the same with images) - we know that one of the main attractions of 606 is that people could go on it at work discretely.
We may change that in the future but for now its not allowed - sorry!
Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
I should point out to Mickado, that I do wrech when I brush my teeth and sometimes in the morning anyway so I would like to put in a caveat to state that that doesn't count.

Hobo, that's fair enough.
WHY ALLOW ME TO DO IT IN THE FIRST PLACE THEN!
To be honest it's no big thing, but I put it on so I could readily spot my last post.

Ok, that didn't work as i expected. There's a "find and replace" on swear words. Which is handier than 606 where you're just blocked for using a word like "slag" (in the verbal slagging sense of the word) or hooker (in the rugby sense of the word). Wonder what replaces ballbag...

No you can say ball bag but you can't say Love sacks, Kumquat, Poopie, Flip, urine, rudey poo...
I'm probably not best placed to answer a question like that about McFadden cause I'd just say yes

Kia ora, mauri ora, :irish coffee: please. That normal one MickyT bought this morning was bad luck So far this morning I've dozed off and missed my tube train change at Oxford Circus, been crapped on by a pigeon while taking the 20 minute stroll down to work from Holborn that resulted, and got into work to discover the script I was running overnight overflowed the server's diskspace and crashed

Here's hoping Rava, the work softball team could use some tonight.
(I was supposed to play for my old work's team last night but the opposition cried off when it started raining).

Morning all,
Went out last night but left early. Didn't feel drunk when I was out but realised it when I got back and certainly feeling it now.
Anyway, cool video here-

The trouble is that these people never know how to interpret the signs. They say
"the date of the rapture of believers will take place on May 21, 2011"
Is that an omen, or is that an omen?

First of all, it should be either 'the date of X is...' or 'X will take place on...'
Secondly, rapture? Are Blondie playing a supergig that everyone in the world will be able to see?

Also, has everyone seen this?
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/rugby_union/welsh/13444855.stm
Dwayne Peel's going to be playing for the Baa-baas against Wales, as is Iestyn Thomas. The article also says that Paul Tito is rumoured to be in a provisional squad list for Wales for the World Cup. That's embarrassing for Wales, and for Paul Tito himself frankly.

Lucky: I agree with you on that! Especially seeing as there are a few youngsters coming through the ranks. Would like to see Bradley Davies and Mcauley Cook playing together more now at the Blues.
Let's play the future. And good luck to Peel I hope he shows Warren what he's missing and, if Phillips plays, he outplays him!

Afternoon all! Hope everyone's well!
Cari - please don't let my not wanting a ticket stop you going to the Amlin! I've been to loads of matches on my own before and it's loads of fun. I just don't want to watch Stade or Quins...neither are a side I particularly like!
After 4 days of putting it off, I am finally going to clean the flat today! Or I hope so anyway...

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Well Macauley Cook's good enough to captain Wales under-20s, so he can't be too shabby a player!
I just think it would be embarrassing for Paul Tito to return to New Zealand wearing a Wales jersey. He may well turn the offer down if they ask him to join the squad.
There was an article on the old 606 the other day asking people to choose their Welsh World Cup XV (not what they think Gatland will pick, but what team they'd pick themselves). I was amazed how many people had Mike Phillips at scrum half. Haven't they seen him play this season?

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
can i ask a favour (yes another!)
if you see some news that is thread worthy, could you start a thread on it please. Not stopping you discussing it in here but passers by may not visit.
Anything we can all do to attract people is appreciated.
If you do start an article, I have no problems with a cut and paste job from whichever website - just make sure you put a source and link at the bottom.
Sorry to ask all these favours - i am just trying to attract newbies for the benefit of us all! As I said, still discuss it in here like you used to but help with posting news is welcomed. As is my midday sambucca - landlady?

Prop, I saw that - he's maybe not been the most popular Glaws player with fans of other sides, but he's been an amazing servant for the cherry and whites. With Azam, Capdeville (sp?), Doran-Jones and Dickinson all off to pastures new, Basil is going to need to recruit heavily in the front row department - any idea of potential signings?
