This isnt about who you think will win the rumble (it may not even be any of these 2), it is about a straight choice. If you could pick one of them to win the 2014 Royal Rumble, would it be Daniel Bryan or CM Punk? I really cant decide.

Punk for me. He deserves it more. I'm not saying Bryan wouldn't be a deserving winner but it's the only thing missing on Punk's CV and he deserves to main event Wrestlemania.

Bryan will one day but I'd like to see Punk given the honour first for being an absolute workhorse for 3 years.

Punk for me, if they're lining up Punk/Kane at the Chamber then that keeps hom out of any Chamber match/Title match so that bodes well for Punk winning the Rumble

Bryan makes sense. He's as hot as anyone since Austin. Hopefully the swift end to the Wyatt alliance means they've realized what they need to do with him.

Bryan easily. I can't remember the last time someone was over as much as bruyan is now, Austin wasn't, cena wasn't, rock wasn't, even mick Foley wasn't.

Punk will face hunter at mania, anything else will be pointless. He pins hunternclean and gets his mania moment

CM Punk, the best performer in the business, the best heel and/or face whenever he turns said way and a man who has shown longevity. To me, hes the man to build this year around and it would be a travesty if he never won a Rumble.

I hated Punk's last heel run, I must say, I was screaming for him to turn face again, after the initial tuen on Rock it was a major flop in my opinion, through no fault of his own mind you, I just didn't like the direction his character went in, it was pointless and mindless

This is a strange line for many reasons, but are you implying that Foley was more over than the others you mention?

I'd argue Foley couldnt have been more over than the infamous "Mick foley is currently winning the WWF title" moment.

Watch Bryan on Monday and then Austin at his most over, the reaction was insane for Bryan. In 15 years of watching wrestling I have never seen anything to match that reaction

I don't agree with you, but fair enough. The reaction of the crowd on Raw was pretty awesome. I don't remember anything like it since Austin returned at No Way Out in 2003.

Good shout on Austin at no way out but i reckon bryan's was louder (or maybe it appeared it due to the crowd being so dead for most of the show)

Watching Attitude Era shows the crowd volume on the broadcast doesn't seem to be 'turned up' as much as it is on current shows.

It is painfully obvious on Smackdown at times that they are boosting crowd volumes to a ridiculous level.

I agree that Bryan is massively over and getting amazing reactions, but to say they eclipse those of Austin or The Rock is wrong imo. He has additional volume due to modern broadcasting techniques and having a chant that can cause a sustained noise easier than cheering.

I loved him, I just think they gave him crap to deal with. He was the only reason to watch Raw for a long time, mic work incredible. They made him a little too soft, but there isn't a better main event heel in that company. Until "the turn" anyway
