First topic message reminder :
Mancini was terrible, how I wish he was still there.
Should have walked the league the last 2 years with the squad he had and gotten out of his cl groups.

Eto is so used to the officials handjobbing Jose that he was stunned when he was not allowed to commit highway robbery. I love how 4 minutes of extra time becomes 7 minutes of extra time.

Good weekend for Liverpool, thrash Everton, Tottenham lose, Chelsea draw, if only United hadn't won.

Massive. Fought like absolute lions. They had so many shots, but 90% outside the area. So many bodies thrown on the line and Adrian played brilliantly when called upon. And he was at the end.
We'll lose on Saturday cos I'm going and cos we've just done something amazing. Its how we roll!

Mourinho on West Ham: "This is not Premier League, this is not the best league in the world. This is football from the 19th century."
All that money and he still cant beat a team from the 19th Century. He was getting so livid on the touchline and Terry was foaming at the mouth on the pitch. Hope you finish third you plank

Hello, hello pot are you there, this kettle and I think you might be black. Wait a minute Jose, looks like you want to join Arsenal in the look whose bitching now club. We know that you are a man of integrity who never complains about tactics, or referees, and who stamps out all divers who could possibly play for you. West Ham are in the relegation zone and don't have hundreds of millions of pounds of talent on their squad they are expected to park the bus on the road and play defensive football, what is your excuse Jose.

Every season Pulis was manager. In those five PL seasons they finished 12th, 11th, 13th, 14th, 13th and reached an FA Cup Final. Considering there are at least 20 bigger clubs than Stoke that is some achievement. Take away Man Utd, Man City, Liverpool, Everton, Arsenal, Tottenham & Chelsea and Stoke would have finished between 4th and 7th under Pulis in regard to the other 85 Football League clubs. The Special Juan wrote:sportform wrote:Stoke finished between 11th and 14th in the Premier League under Tony Pulis. For a club their size that is more than plenty above what they should be achieving. Some clubs/ fans seem to have illusions of grandeur. The Special Juan wrote:I think Pulis is similar to Steve Bruce in that he'll take your team up and keep them up but will never get any further than "just surviving". You could probably put Allardyce in the bracket too. These managers will keep your team up but never develop them into sides pushing for a top half finish.
How many seasons did they do it for?

I picked West Ham to be relegated but they do at least know how to fight in a london derby. Road win against Spurs 3-0, and a point against the Pompous Hypocritical one at the bridge. I love it.

BBC have a transcript, but it depends when he spoke to who.
"They were trying to win time with everything. With their substitutions they were taking a long time. It was football from another century. The result is not a good result, I don't like to speak too much about the referee. I can speak about the yellow card which was not a yellow card [tackle on Willian). They defended with their hearts - I respect that and praise that. I don't think with matches like this we can sell Premier League across the world. My team did everything possible."
Though he has given us some credit. Needs to look at his own team on the physicality, O'Brien out for ten weeks after Cahill threw him to the floor.
"They called us boring - but I think boring is a team that plays at home and cannot score a goal. That's boring!"
- Mourinho after the Arsenal game

Hey that is your privilege and is the smart play when outgunned. Arsenal need the points they got to go out and get them. When palace or West Ham park the bus it doesn't annoy me they don't have a few hundred million pounds worth of talent on their bench.

Ahhhhhh, Ahhhh, scuk it Jose. Your teams are boring, the most interesting thing about the teams you manage is the post match press conference and watching you tie yourself into a game of hypocritical logical twister. Whose the bitcher and moaner now Jose. He must think this was a la liga post match interview after the classico when his teams would get routinely undressed by Barca and he would cry about anti-jose conspiracies. Can they afford to go any further behind Mysti? If Arsenal beat Palace that's a 5pt gap before the game starts.

Allardyce speaks the truth and states that Chelsea players were trying to intimidate the referee. The dastardly one gets a zinger thrown back at him.

Why do people keep saying this about all the calls City are getting. I watched that match and Spurs were fighting back and even had a very tight (but correct) goal called back to offsides. It did impact the game. It happened at the absolute worst possible time and it not only doubled City's lead but also insured that City would play against 10 players for like 45 minutes of the match. They scored 1 goal in 47 minutes and 4 more after the dubious redcard and penalty.

LOL! A player like Mata might have made the difference tonight. Maybe this odd transfer is already coming back to haunt Jose. Jose better hope his team wins some big titles and Mata doesn't light it up and change United's fortune because his mismanagement and sale of Mata could really haunt him.

Loved it, "I don't give a sheet" is the perfrect response to the Self Important One. He talked a whole bunch of garbage on West Ham for playing the same way his teams play except they are facing relegation and don't have the budget he does. Jose is a great manager no question, but he is arrogant, self righteous and a negative tactician who wants to grind the joy out of football. Some of his quotes in the post match are delusional to the level of Hitler in the last days of the bunker.

Jose complaining that we didn't go to win was a bit silly. I mean he went to Old Trafford and played the weakest United side in a generation without a striker.

All the things you slate Jose for SoCal, Wenger has done for over a decade. All players try and intimidate the officials, something that I would love to see stamped out. Funny that you slate Mourinho at every chance, bet you never said a bad word against Wenger for his "I didn't see it".

Very hypocritical, Jose is almost famous for parking the bus and has actually been praised for it. Allardyce was right that he was just bitter that West Ham had a tactic and stuck to it and Mourinho failed to outwit him. They weren't going to play it into Chelsea's hands and a point is a good result for West Ham.
His use of the media this year has been so unsubtle I can't believe they're actually eating it up, it's so obviously geared to trying to say everything they want to say whether it be about diving, the Premier League being the best in the world, English players or managers...it's pathetic. I used to really like Mourinho, but I think he's lost his edge totally.

Michael Dawson's goal should have stood. Linesman got it wrong. Danny Rose clearly won the ball.
Both decisions could have been cleared up within 30 seconds had there been a video assistant in radio contact with the referee.
Adebayor touched the ball meaning Dawson was offside. To say Man City won that game by dubious decisions, is clearly nonsense. They were so much better than Spurs last night.

The Danny Rose tackle, while probably unfair to be a penalty was a ridiculous tackle, he should know better than to dive into a tackle in the box like that, it's always going to look dodgy.

Pleased after last night's result.
Hope so, but its still very tight, couple of losses and we're back down in it.
Next month will be interesting.
Everton A (d/l)
West Ham H (w)
Cardiff A (w)
Newcastle A (d/l)
Thats what i think.
A potential 8 points might be asking to much.
All 12 points would be amazing, but if i thought we would get 12, then i would have to hand out what i'm smoking.
We could end up with 0 points in feb, but doubt that.

Well done big Sam.........Exposing the classless cry baby known as Jose Mourinho......
The guy who's players never dive....The guy who celebrates in the City dug out area but means nothing by it.....The coward who pokes people in the eye.......The classy guy who celebrates Champions league victories in front of Barcelona fans....The guy who tells other managers "To grow up"
Never seen his teams waste time.........
Come on Arsenal keep up with City.......If we don't win in it ..I'd hate to see this vile, arrogant classless mooch with his vile classless players win it........
Must say I'm disappointed though........wanted at least six last night..
Well done West Ham..........Take a bow !!

Not sure he touched the ball Sand but as soon as he tries to head the ball he becomes active and is offside, very good decision by the officials.

He's still the same old Jose. He hasn't lost his edge. Wouldn't have it any other way.
You were 10, how would you know if he's different? The only thing I remember thinking about managers when I was 10 was how boring Terry Venables was.
Re: Barclays Premier League 13/14 Thread Part 'x'
It's classic Mourinho. Everyone going on about how he is a cry baby, hypocritical, lost his edge etc. and next to no-one actually mentioning how Chelsea failed to break down a West Ham side in the relegation zone at Stamford Bridge.
