Barclays Premier League 13/14 Thread Part 'x'
First topic message reminder :
Mancini was terrible, how I wish he was still there.
Should have walked the league the last 2 years with the squad he had and gotten out of his cl groups.

Norwich City FC @NorwichCityFC 4m
#NCFC team v @CardiffCityFC: Ruddy; Martin, R Bennett, Bassong (c), Olsson; Snodgrass, Tettey, Johnson, Gutierrez; Elmander, Hooper.
Norwich City FC @NorwichCityFC 3m
#NCFC subs v @CardiffCityFC: Bunn (GK), Whittaker, van Wolfswinkel, Fer, Pilkington, Becchio, Redmond.
Please please tell me that team is some sort of sick joke. Johnson, Elmander and Gutierrez all starting?!
If we can keep the ball at all I'll be shocked

Amazing that Ki Sung Yueng wasn't needed at Swansea, been impressed with him this season. Laudrup will leave this summer, he doesn't get on with Jenkins & those signings have been shocking.

It should be rescinded, never a red card. You obviously missed the first 60 mins of the game as well

Re: Barclays Premier League 13/14 Thread Part 'x'
I think Howard Webb made a right call there, in accordance with the laws of the game which, after all, is what he's there for.
The trouble with referees is that they just don't care who wins the match.
Of course, Andy Carroll is the only person who knows for sure whether or not his swinging arm was intentional and whether or not he knew Flores was in line for a smack in the chops, but the official has to go by what it looks like to him and my view of it agrees with Howard Webb's. It looked, at the very least, reckless and dangerous. And that makes it a red card offence.
Flores..? Well, I would agree that he rather gilded the lily, but Andy Carroll would have done the same if the situations were reversed. He too would have hit the ground like a sack of spuds. That doesn't make it right but Carroll can't have any complaint. He's not a naïve innocent, is he..?
Flores will no doubt be given the tiresome, tedious booooooo treatment by the West Ham fans <yawn>. I don't think that will bother Flores one bit.
The best thing West Ham can do to exact revenge on him is to win the game.

yeh he had a good game but he doesn't score enough goals or get enough assists. Always said he was worth about 7 million.
He did flil his arm and we need to eradicate that kind of behaviour from the EPL. it is dangerous behavior.

Wilfried Zaha on the bench. Mysti get those tissues ready for a clean up, sometime around the 60th minute.

What a job Poyet is doing at Sunderland. On a par with Pulis' work easily.
They looked condemned a month ago.

The difference with Pulis and Poyet though, Pulis had a terrible squad to work with and is making it work superbly well. Poyet had a decent squad with money to spend, so as expected is making it work.

I'd say moreso. Pulis has the players to implement his style, Poyet has Sunderland playing some nice stuff

Possibly Nick but Poyet has done well to totally transform a squad devoid of confidence and moral.
However if Pulis does keep Palace up then he'll be my manager of the season for sure.

I trust your comparison was in terms of results only. I think Gus Poyet would be horrified at the thought of being compared with Tony Pulis in footballing terms.

Some worrying news for Arsenal supporters coming out of Sweden, with reports that loan signing Kim Kallstrom has suffered a nightmare start to life in the Premier League after picking up an injury that will keep him out of action for the next two to three months.
Leading tabloid newspaper Aftonbladet say the Sweden international picked up the knock in his first training session at his new club following his deadline-day move from Spartak Moscow. This has not been confirmed or denied by the Gunners, who next play on Sunday when they host Crystal Palace.

Evans injured for united so rafael on and smalling to centre half.
I can see crouch peeling to Rafael's side and long balls being pumped up to him already.
