Maybe not in boxing if Khan is his next opponent but he is reportedly set lo lose about 15 million dollars on Superbowl bets. Thats probably what he would net for fighting Khan.

So yup the hatred is called for, is irrelevant what he does in the ring as we're judging him as a person. And that person is a loud mouthed woman beating buffoon who will be out of money and on the streets soon enough once he retires.

He's all of those things but achieved more than any of us, he must wish he spent his time posting on forums.

Great fighter, but when you can justify being convicted of numerous violent offences including more than once of beating Women up and threatening children as minor incidences, plus the charges which were dropped due to a plea bargain simply as unjust because he is a great fighter then you have a very strange moral compass mate. His talent is clear as his lack of personal decency, no matter how many titles he wins a man that raises his hands to a woman is a wrong un and always will be.

He has done so well as a pro sportsman and been very successful- and even if this rumour is true he can do what he wants with his money. But there is something about some boxers life's that just dont seem right. They dont seem happy. I would rather be the sad forum poster if truth be told.

Unfortunately as much as i know what a great fighter he is, that does not change the man he is and what he has done. Many of us on here probably judge him the same as we would anyone else for his crimes and dont ignore them because he is a famous boxer (a fact that makes hitting women even worse). What would you think of your next door neighbour if he was convicted of the battery of his wife, threatening his kids, attacking someone and kicked them in the head, and battering 2 women in casino. Not to mention his other violent charges that got waived with his plea bargain. Would you excuse him just because he was a great sportsman and say it all unjustified, i should imagine if he lived next door your opinion of him would not be great or unjustified.

If he lived next door then I'd be earning £100m per year and would probably have an army of armed guards to stop him getting in.

Its more the lack of consistency at times though. Some fighters out of the ring activities get pointed out more than others due to personal preference. One example is lamont gets abuse from pillar to post over his drug taking and others just get ignored. Don't exactly know the details behind solido's drug incident but he only gets referred to as a hard man rather than questioned why one of his decisions got changed to a NC

Funny thing is he is a despicable Man who has the virtue of being a great fighter..

Tyson got far more hate when he was active than Floyd ever does, he was a much much bigger name and got stick from the general public as well as the boxing fans in the world. Half the average people on the street would not know who Floyd was even if he was slapping their daughter. Floyd has actually got an easy ride from most people and in most careers his past would have made him unemployable.

Didnt the woman have some minor bruising on her forearm from him gripping her, she left on a damn stretcher, he didnt even try to defend his case, as it would have involved his kids in the trial....
