that counter right there a perfect illustration of why Mourinho got rid of Mata. No effort when they lose the ball, just sort of gently jogs back...

This is roughly when the idea of sacking David Moyes starts evolving into reality...
He'll probably get until the end of the season though, and probably more.

I can't see Fulham holding onto this lead but good entertainment for those not supporting United trying to see them do so!

You would normally think 2-1 would be the ideal result from here..
But... This isn't united football anymore.
It's moyesball
Moyesball will in the oxford dictionary soon to describe a certain brand of football.

Fulham's game plan has been spot on and is working to prefection.
Wouldn't say United are playing badly, just think Fulham have defended world class.
Richardson should of raped the game up though.

After years of being in the shadow of United, am really enjoying this period now
Seeing some of the tweets the fans have been putting just reminds me of us over the past few seasons. Excuses like 'How can we be this unlucky' and 'we've had over 70% possesion' blah blah.
Agent Moyes doing a super job!

Re: Barclays Premier League 13/14 Thread Part 'x'
United have been clueless, their main tactic to float aimless crosses into the box (39 times apparently ) and hope one of their strikers get on the end of one. Fulham's CBs have been supreme in the air, but not tested other than that. Never better illustrated than one that one occasion Young got in behind the defense, and... hit a dreadful cross.

Is this United's best team? --> Mata, Van Persie, Rooney, Vidic, Carrick all playing. Utd can't lose to Fulham - Fulham with the worst defensive record in all leagues.

Re: Barclays Premier League 13/14 Thread Part 'x'
Oh dear all going wrong for Moyes...again!
I keep defending him but that is getting hard now...I know managers don't like shifting the blame to players but I feel he needs to start if he is to keep his job. Honestly some of them are just not up to the par of playing for them...
Yes Yes I know this was a squad which won the title last year but so many don't look like they want to be there..and you can be the best man manager in the world but if a player doesn't want to play for you then you can't do sod all. I'd just come out and say we are simply not good enough....certain players aren't playing for their shirts or for the club...don't name them...just drop them for the next game. This season is a write off simple as...now Moyes needs to do something drastic because it can
a) not get any worse
b) may actually get a response from the team.
Evra is done far to easily these days.....same as Vidic who 2 years ago would never have let someone like Sidwell waltz past him...Young has absolutely no end product be it a cross or shot...Fletcher simply doesn't have the legs or engine anymore (not his fault but can't be sentimental about it)...even Rooney doesn't look interested today..done sod all.
Drop Evra, Vidic, Fletcher, Young....wouldn't have them anywhere near starting XI.
De Gea
Smalling
Jones
Evans
Buttner
Carrick
Mata
Januzaj
Valencia
Rooney
Persie
Welbeck, Kagawa, Fellaini: the three that would be rotated in & out...outside of that just stick in youth players...no worse than the old guard who are a crock of crap these days.

This is really one dimensional. Crossing the ball isn't working but they still carry on doing it? Fulham are at the bottom for a reason - try to play through them and speed it up a bit.

Getting rid of Meulensteen and others like him straightaway was probably Moyes' biggest mistake. I can understand Moyes wanting familiar people around him but he really needed to find out more first about United's methods.
Still think United will get 3 points today. Meltdown if not ....

Reminds me when we lost 1-0 to Walsall who had 9 men for 73 minutes a few seasons ago.
62 crosses, crossed and cleared with 56 being caught by the Walsall keeper.

I would argue that if this finishes up like this it's a far more deflating result than a 5-1 hiding away.
