Barclays Premier League 13/14 Thread Part 'x'
First topic message reminder :
Not sure what's going to happen in t his game..
More bothered about watching what Ox can do again..
Its not a forgone conclusion for me.
I do think Moyesball is pretty decent against possession teams..

Magath may be a nutter, but he's a bloomin good manager. I'd give Fulham much more of a chance of staying up with him than Rene.

Jose has spent 687.1m that's just his at Chelsea/Inter & Madrid. Inter have been financially crippled since his left, Real Madrid are in a ton of debt. Chelsea have unlimited bankroll.

Rene seems to reckon different by his interview on 5 Live. Maybe they are doing what United should of done and kept him in a coaching role.

We don't want you to manage Rene, but fancy doing a spot of coaching.
Tbf it's probably for the best. Some people are better at following than leading. Meulensteen never struck me as a natural manager

Tbh its not as if Rene has pulled up trees, he's pretty much done the same/worse than Jol.
And he had the luxury of playing us three times to boost his stats

Re: Barclays Premier League 13/14 Thread Part 'x'
Found this on Yahoo it amused me
Jose Mourinho's League of Animals
Arsenal — An owl. It can seem scary when you hear or see it in the night, but it never does anything and eventually you wonder if it is actually alive or just made of wood.
Aston Villa — A lion chew toy that other animals try to eat, but it somehow stays in tact year after year.
Cardiff City — A bluebird sized dragon perched on the shoulder of a man with his trousers pulled up to his nipples.
Chelsea — As I said before, a small horse. Maybe the small horse can win the race this year, but next year the horse will grow and run and stomp on all of the other animals and Pep Guardiola will say, "Whoever trained that horse is much better than I am, so I must quit. This time forever." And then he explodes and I laugh.
Crystal Palace — An eagle drawn on a little car window flag.
Everton — A golden retriever. Pretty. Nice. Loyal. Plus, they can achieve positive things. Just look at the Air Bud films.
Fulham — A turkey? I don't know. Not all of these are going to be good.
Hull City — I will say anything except a tiger just to annoy their owner.
Liverpool — A well-rested Chihuahua that could run through the legs of the horses, but only because it isn't playing in the Champions League, which means nothing it does is impressive. And next season the stress of fixture congestion will leave it hairless and shaking.
Manchester United — A once graceful deer that froze in the headlights and got hit by eight cars and now has a bad limp and doesn't know where it is going.
Manchester City — A sheikh's thoroughbred with a jockey who cannot beat me no matter how hard he tries.
Newcastle — A French zebra that sniffed too much glue and now has mental trouble.
Norwich City — Canary in an empty methane tank.
Southampton — A squirrel that gathers its nuts and runs to safety when something bigger comes near it.
Stoke City — Skunk. You cannot think of Mark Hughes and not immediately think of a skunk.
Sunderland — Ants. They do very much, but they don't get very far.
Swansea City — Swans that have been swimming in their own feces too long.
Tottenham — Under Villas-Boas, a flock of headless chickens. After Villas-Boas, something smarter and good. Maybe a cougar.
West Brom — Pigeons.
West Ham — The broad-faced potoroo. Like West Ham's style of football, it was a boring animal that went extinct in the 19th century and no one knows much about it. Probably because it was so boring. West Ham are a boring wall of dead animals.

Hmmm think its harsh.
Yes he wasn't doing a great job. But he's been there what 2 months? To sack a manager after that space of time is stupid. He made some great signings. He just had 2 great performances, yes Liverpool they got nothing from, but its hardly his fault Riether cost his side the match. Hope Fulham fail.
United should take Rene back to there coaching staff.

Arsenal win Olly. 9/5 at home with Billy Hills is way too good-a-price to look past.

Both teams to score as an insurance.

Been saying it all season that Orient have been in a false position and will drop like stone.
Over 2.5 in that one Olly.

From memory this season
Holloway, mind you that seemed a mutual decision.
Martin Jol agreed with that.
Tony Mowberry agreed with that.
Paul Ince agreed with that.
Could name more.

Have won once this season, may well be my lot.

Utd were in a lose-lose situation there. Let Rooney go and hear a death knell, keep him and risk spending loads of money on a underachieving player. Hopefully there are some clauses in that contract that demand he stays out of Greggs.

Are United seriously offering Rooney 300K a week?!
That's more than Messi. More than Aguero and Negrado's salaries combined!
Does Rooney run United or something? Next year he'll probably demand a transfer and United will tempt him to stay by offering a "new" 500k a week deal and so on.

I think gambling is perfectly fine as long as you can stick to a pre-determined limit - like say a certain % of your wages.
Just a bit of fun after all.
