Barclays Premier League 13/14 Thread Part 'x'
First topic message reminder :
Not sure what's going to happen in t his game..
More bothered about watching what Ox can do again..
Its not a forgone conclusion for me.
I do think Moyesball is pretty decent against possession teams..

Paul Merson on Soccer Saturday
'I think City are missing a Gareth Barry this year'
with a team as rich as City this is not the type of comment you should hear about the football club

What a silly comment that is by Merson. Fernandinho has come in and done brilliantly. What they need is another CB alongside Kompany

No Baines pre-injury was insane, like he is every year. He was playing phenomenal, scoring those free-kicks at WHU, banging penalties away & helping Everton to a possible top 4. Azpilicueta was not always a starter this season, he's played well but he's no way as good as Baines or should be beating him to the Team Of The Year Left Back.

massive.
Everton guilty of over playing first half- should have taken more shots..
Chelsea re a big time team though and will punish you. Could be the most vital goal of the season.
Roy are you watching.

Dont think Baines has been as good as him in the second half of the season we've had so far. Those freekicks were great (the dick) but hes not been as good as last season and I think Azpi has been brilliant

Baines looked great today though- in fact the back 6 of Everton did- but then so did chelseas..
it was experience and cutting edge and belief that got chelsea the win.
That was a high quality game

Baines wants to hope Azpi keeps playing well, the more time Cole is out of Chelsea's side the more confirmation of Baines starting at the World Cup

Re: Barclays Premier League 13/14 Thread Part 'x'
After 23 minutes, that is a massive turnaround at Upton Park. It gives them the lift they needed. A wake up call from the corner. Jarvis just offside it seems but a quality pass and finish and move nevertheless and then Cole unlucky the first time around but well reacted to smash in. Good play for WHU.
Big goal for Fulham there as well. Man City need to up their performance as well. If I was a betting man, I would have put Stoke on to get something out of this game. Wouldn't know what out of draw/win I'd pick though. Mos probably draw, but doesn't look like it should be like that at the moment.

I wasn't insulting him, I was simply saying that his celebration is crap, especially considering his mum died YEARS ago. It's like one of those dreadful baby swinging celebrations still being done when the kid is five.

The baby swinging celebration is only done by players with new borns and I'm so sorry somebody you don't know honouring the memory of his dead mother is so grating on you. God forbid anyone honour the dead. Even if it is their parent. It's only been 5 and a half years. You knob.

That aside.
Big result today. Southampton should have equalised and then we punished them. On another day they walk that game. Think some of them are on the beach already.
Cardiff smashed apart, Fulham have a lifeline snatched from them but still West Brom cant win a game. Stoke valiant but defeated, so far every result down there has gone how I wanted.
I expect United to ruin that

Re: Barclays Premier League 13/14 Thread Part 'x'
For goodness sake, talk about an over reaction.
First of all, all I said was it was a rubbish celebration, and all of a sudden I'm accused of personally insulting Fat Frank,
I don't really care if he, you, or anyone else did find it insulting, you don't have a right to not be insulted, I think it's out of date given how long ago it was since she died. Similarly, showing some sort of public deference is simply tacky.
Do you point to the ceiling when you cross the theshold at work to honour those people you know who died? Of course you don't, people would think you are mad
I know the baby swinging is only done by those who have newborns, I was saying that Fat Franks continued "heaven pointing" (as if there is such a thing) is comparable to doing baby swinging when the kid is 5.
Oakey, I didn't say he did score, I asked if he was still doing the celebration when he DOES score, (he was brought up in relation to the number of appearances)

Playoffs, are we both living in the past and remembering wembley glory?
Im happy, I'm happy we showed faith too. Still done it without Carroll and without Reid really too. But we're not out of it yet! Huge step mind you, I think two wins will do it. Good stuff, need investment though.

This is as well as I've seen Utd control a game in a long time but they're not creating anything. That last part sounds depressingly familiar.
