FIFA 2014 World Cup Game
Will be released on April 17th in the UK and Europe.
Anyone planning on getting this? I know it won't be that different from FIFA 14 gameplay-wise, but it's always kind of a tradition to get the World Cup game. And it's the only chance you'll get to see England win it as well.
The game, interestingly enough, won't be released on XBOX One or PS4, only 360 and PS3.

yeah, the indoor game was quite fun and a bit different. I won't be buying this, i haven't bought 14 yet! Too busy creating an empire with Ajax!

Yes! 5-a-side indoor games were the best!
98 was the first Fifa I'd bought and it's still my sentimental favourite.
My order goes:
1998
2003
2012
The rest....

I may also get this game dependant on the game modes. I don't have Fifa 14 so it may be a good bridge before I get 15, if the price is reasonable.

I would be tempted as long as it's not as bad as the FIFA 14 i have. I am not sure if it is my PS3 or not but the menus and team pages are ridiculously slow. When swapping players in your team you have to wait a few seconds for the players picture to appear before it works!! So frustrating

The issue EA had is they built the game for next-gen, but couldn't leave out people with the 360 and PS3 but at the same time it would be have been time consuming to redesign the menus for the different platforms. Having played the game on XBOXone and PS3, it plays so much smoother and quicker on the next gen platforms. The game play on the whole is infinetly better as well, smoother and player animations just look sharper.

Agreed. I got rid of it for my 360, thought it was awful but I've definately been converted by playing the Xbox One version

Re: FIFA 2014 World Cup Game
I must say that, despite all the bugs, this game is terribly realistic.
On my first play-through with England (on the difficulty of legendary, of course), I brushed Italy and Uruguay aside before stumbling past Costa Rica and Japan.
Then I lost on penalties in the quarters to Chile. This better not be a sign!

Re: FIFA 2014 World Cup Game
I'm just about settled for the real thing.
The customary draw to begin things against Italy, then two wins over Uruguay (beaten by the English counter-attack) and Costa Rica.
England top the group and, therefore, dodge Colombia (although England beat them in 98, so no cause for alarm anyway!) and saunter into the quarters.
The law of averages dictates that England are bound to win a penalty shoot-out this year, and they do by stuffing the world champions Spain. Some overdue luck, and Rooney brilliance, sees the Three Lions past Argentina in the semi-final.
One tactical masterstroke against the ever-choking Germans puts England over the line.
Absolutely in the bag this one.

you clearly haven't been watching rooney since his bumper new contract, he's been awful. more chance of him continuing his record of never scoring in the world cup than being anything other than just average

No, just 360 and PS3 - bit of an odd decision.
