I disagree. But I do agree it's been mentally tough on Harrington. Needlessly so. He fretted his golfing game away on pernicky nit-picking and, somehow or other, the people around him allowed him to do it.
In rugby you need to concentrate for 80 minutes max once a week. As a golfer you need to concentrate for 4 hours a day maybe more, four days in a row. You have no team mates to draw strength from (except caddy) and there are more pressure moments. It unquestionably requires more mental strength.
Imagine if you stopped concentrating during the 5 minutes between shots, you might get lost and fall in a bunker.

More time to think and therefore more pressure.

Grown men falling into man-made ball traps whilst out for a walk in checkered slacks, white belts, yellow jumpers and polkadot cravats...is no sport.
It just ain't no sport. It's a Camp Amusement Park

Serves you right for wearing an orange and purple jumper with pink slacks! Fate don't like such loudness in day wear.... so it gets even by dropping cars into bunkers.
What the hell were you driving on a golf course for?? I thought that kind of thing was punishable by electrocution?

No that was drunk night golf.. I was wearing a mud stained suit..
got to 75 mph. Launched over the first bunker and slammed in to the next.
it was some wedding thing staying at a golf hotel. We thought we would hit a few holes and mix it with rally driving.

Re: England vs Ireland, Part 2
Just (finally) watched it
Couple (or more) thoughts
Yellow cards were not going to happen given the general tone of the game (only occasional niggle) unless something bad happened. I think Farrell was right to get a warning rather than a card. Lawes - I am not so sure given the maul rules. I could have understood that one.
Someone ( I dont know who) really really hammered Sexton on about 35mins with a slightly late tackle when he was taking a kick. Maybe it was that what did it but he didnt quite seem to be at the races for a lot of the game.
Ireland - in general very dangerous on first phase ball, looked occasionally clueless on subsequent phases.
POM was good - just not quite the all conquering force we were lead to believe.
As has been said - the Irish choke tackle saved their bacon big time - Was fun seeing them try it vs BV - sad he went off and is out of the 6N.
Defenses huge on both sides. For all the talk about should England be playing that player or this because of their brilliant attack, all of the guys put in a huge shift in defense, right down to Farrell getting a boot into the ruck at the end to kick Irish ball out - And they had to. Oh and the delicious irony of England 'choke tackling' the irish runner on the last play.
Right now it seems like a stroke of tactical genius bringing on Atwood when they did.
Whats with the transformer boots on Healy? Are there ankle issues?
The tap tackle was fantastic, but Brown was in the way there was still heaps to do had DK not been felled.
Nowell - I really like him. Currently he is making equal numbers of mistakes and great things. I know we all want to see Wade or Yarde in instead but this guy really does have a future
May - its possible this game may be the making of him. He should have done better more than once but he still did do some great things. If he builds on the good things he did with lessons learned from the not so good he'll be quite something.
36 - Again a mix but plenty enough to want to continue with him. I think people are looking to be very critical but there was some good stuff there.. Would you want to get rid of Care for missing the overlaps when he did?
Really tough game - great to watch

It was painfull to watch.
but when we scored that try I was jumping about like a lunatic...
Two quality sides- both sides some nice back play and both had rock solid defences.

It was a great match. Great advertisement for the 6 nations. What I loved about it most was both teams are very well organised with really well thought game plans. As a result you really were left guessing what would happen next. Real edge of the seat stuff.
Once again proof that the 6 nations is the best show on earth and Ireland v England games are as meaningful, exciting and passionate as ever. Two great teams and two great sets of fans. Long may it continue.

Kieran Bracken and the duke of Wellington were also born in Ireland but I'm not sure anyone is going to try and claim them as Irish.
Simon Shaw was born in Kenya. Doubt anyone mistakes him for a Kenyan.

The Duke is too dead to play even for Ireland and Bracken was previously tainted with the white shirt. Otherwise they are very well qualified.

Isn't the Irish 'look' more dark haired with blue eyes ala Donnacha O Callaghan ? Though his eyes are rather far apart... I think if you merged him with Sexton it would balance the pair out some
