We should just adapt Schurrle to be a striker. His movement for his goals are like Liverpool Torres.

Has he been injured? He should play more towards the end of the season

Not injured. Just Willian and Oscar got a partnership going and nobody in their right mind is dropping Hazard.

Not sure who I wanna win the title.
Can't handle the Arsenal/Liverpool fans (know too many), cant stand Mourinho. Guess by power of deduction it's Citeh.
And I think they're least likely to win it of those 4 teams

I want Chelsea & Mourinho. Win it in his first season back, with no real top striker would be a great achievement. Everyone doubted the 'second coming' but he's proving them wrong. Love or hate his comments, it's great for the EPL he's back. Don't want Liverpool because I don't like Rodgers or his fake teeth or massive weight loss. Still haven't forgiven Suarez for his past behavioural issues as of yet, even though he's improving his behaviour & been playing brilliantly. Don't want City because they spent £100m & Pellegrini is boring & brings nothing to the EPL, I don't even rate him that highly. Arsenal won't win it because you can't win titles with Giroud, Sanogo or Bendtner leading the line.

Now off to the Villa
I'll go with no Norwich goalscorer and a 1-0 Villa win as me tip of the day

John to be fair almost everyone backed Chelsea to win the title, so not sure who doubted the second coming.
btw i like mourihio. But would still much rather Liverpool or arsenal snatch it..

There isn't half an overreaction on Pardew's headbutt, is there?
Silly thing to do, but if the Hull player doesn't push him first, or square up to him, then it wouldn't have happened. Give him a ban for a couple of games, but no more.
And Robbie Savage on MOTD? Just embarrassing. He can barely string a coherent sentence together, and his grammar is at the level of a ten-year old. Yet he gets to be a pundit - a term I use rather loosely in this instance - because he's an ex-player? Laughable.

going for a cardiff shock today.. for no other reason than its 10/1, totenham only seemed to play well when they were forced into it.. Maybe they will be over confident today
just straight forward easy bets for me at the moment.
West ham cost me in the last 10 yesterday- should have cashed out

I'd give Pardew a 6 game ban because it's not his first offence but he's hardly "nutted" the guy. It would have been funnier had Pardew "pushed him away" with his fist.

Pardew saw the red mist obviously and straight away apologised. Good lad.
FA give him a touch line ban for 6-9 games and let that be the end

Yeah, it was no Zidane. Fully expected the reaction from the media, pure jumping on the bandwagon because there was nothing else to write about & they love putting people down. Embarrassing & hypocritical some of the stuff Savage was coming out with on MOTD. It was a mistake & he will get punished, like many players have done for much worse. End of.

You want Chelsea to win cos they have no real top striker, but don't want Arsenal to win because you dont rate their striker. (very much paraphrasing for the lulz)
I want City to win it by default, plus they are the best team we have when they are flying. I'm gutted that Aguero and Fernandinho were both out when Barca came to town. Think we were robbed of a classic.

I want Chelsea n Mourinho to win & just stated to win it with that strike force in comparison to City would be a great achievement. I said, Arsenal won't win the title with those strikers & NOT that I didn't want Arsenal to win the title because of my dislike for Giroud.

soon as it was apparent that we clearly weren't title challengers, i wanted chelsea to win it. would have preferred arsenal but never saw them being good enough as title challengers anyway. reason for chelsea is simply so neither city or now liverpool (who i wasn't even contemplating at the start) two of our biggest rivals don't win it
i think mourinho is a tw@t of the highest order, but putting up with him its still better than living with all my numpty city fan mates

for me it was a easy way they could shift him without having to pay shed load of compensation because of his 10 year contract. they could sack him for serious breach of contract or something like that

Starting to like Alan Pardew now.
Stoke beating another top side. Really is a tough place to go.
Liverpool top win for them. Any idiots want to say Rodgers is a rubbish manager?
Everton and Chelsea, standard wins for them.

He wasnt doing that well to be fair, but its now clear with hindsight he was just implementing a plan that took time...at the time i just thought he was clueless and out of his depth, while the more astute fans saw the long term plan/goals.

I was doubtful of Rodgers also and wanted Martinez. In Rodgers I saw somebody that won the lottery in getting the job of Liverpool manager but so far has done remarkably well. The players appear to really have taken to him to.
But lets not get ahead of ourselves yet. At big football clubs trophies equals success. Barring a monumental collapse in form then a CL berth is - I hope - the start of an exciting new era.
If, IF that collapse in form materialises and Liverpool fail to secure CL football for next season then what? Is Rodgers still the messiah that many are painting him to be now?
But I'm glad I was wrong about him. I was expecting a top 6 place at best this season. Time will tell.

Agreed that we should wait until the end of the season to judge, but up to this point our league performances is far beyond anything i expected this season!

We have been here before with Benitez when we finished 2nd.
Rodgers himself said this season we are a year ahead of his plan so next seaon will be truly telling.
But that's next season and i'm just enjoying the currant campaign.

Re: Barclays Premier League 13/14 Thread Part 'x'
i still think you few players away from being consistent challengers, this season you've had the luxury of just concentrating on the league, added to that uniteds total drop in form meaning a easy top 4 spot was available. next season you'll have the CL to content with and still think your defence is a major weakness.
many of your fans will get carried away from this season and expect to be title challengers again but with all of the above you should really just concentrate on re making the top 4. hopefully we should be right back in the mix, and id expect chelsea to kick on more having had mourinho more than a year, similar with city who also has had a manager finding his feet in a new job
if there was ever a year for you to win it, its this one. its only going to get harder from here on in

Well im hoping that if we secure top 4 this year then the owners will put up the necessary funds to add more players in the summer. Nothing is guaranteed though, and like you say it will be more difficult for us next season if we are fighting on two fronts.

Next season will be a far greater challenge for Liverpool, though.
This season the media spotlight hasn't been trained on them, and there's been very little pressure. They've snuck under the radar to be where they are.
Next season they may very well be touted as genuine title contenders, admittedly behind Chelsea and City though. How will that deal with that pressure and a more congested fixture list (considering they'll be in the Champions League next season)? That's an added challenge. It all fell apart last time for Liverpool when they were in that position.
Next time? I'm not so sure.

Probably the best time for teams like Liverpool and Arsenal to catch up. Holding onto Chelsea and Citys coattails in the summer is going to be difficult and United will spend to boot.

We have seen some superb goals today. That goal from Benteke is my favourite. Love an overhead kick, even harder when Yobo was raping him.
