groves is fighting froch in a football stadium for a world title while degale is fighting a nobody who's barely fought much past 6 rounders

Says a lot about Chisora that this guy took him 9 rounds, he needs to go in with a live opponent but there isn't anybody in Britain imo, Hughie Fury won't go near him due to his promoter, same with Tyson and Chisora. He could end up going the same route as David Price and just knocking these guys out.

First look for me at Joshua in the pro ranks. He at least looks in good condition, which is rare enough for HWs these days. Other than that, tonight didn't tell us anything really. Jab looked crisp, and it was a nicely timed left hook to get the KO, but it's hard to say much from a minute and a half of action. Shame.

he needs a chisora or king pin johnsen type fighter, i know he's not ready for them just yet. but someone who's durable doesn't posses massive power but will test his boxing skills and his engine more importantly

Big josh says the right things, glad he's a fan favourite. Fast car needs to sort out some competition. English title/ British title time I think.

Pointless exercise. Joshua looked sharp all the same.
Did Eddie just say British title fight in 6 months?

He needs to fight more often I reckon. I have a feeling Eddie won't throw him into a British title fight until he has at least 10 fights under his belt.

Just said this on twitter, Johnson is a good fight. Not a lot of danger as Johnson doesn't hit hard enough, but it'll test his tank.
Strongy 6 months according to Eddie.

Why the hate for Degale???
Did to Groves what Froch could not and is better all round then Groves.
Not his fault his promoter is a master of mediocrity.

groves has massively improved while degale has stagnated from when they first fought. if they fought tomorrow its a easy win for groves now

I thought that degale won the fight between them but atm i'd easily pick groves to beat degale, as C&R said groves has improved whereas degale hasn't

I really don't like the way DeGale fights. The guy could be a good fighter but the silly defensive antics and meaningless tippy tappy punches which are supposed to be show boating make him look like a muppet.

Styles make fights C&R
Froch is easy for any boxer to figure out.
You would not put money on Groves beating Degale if they fought tomorrow mate.

DeGale is getting caught too much despite winning comfortably, would be flattened at World level fighting like that.

Crawford is slick, Ricky needs to roll back the years and keep the tempo of the Mitchell or katsidis fight to stand a chance. I hope he has it in him.

yes i would, this nobody has no power and had landed some big shots and hurt him at times. he's been there to be hit, something he couldnt get away with against groves
froch would also steam roll the "boxer" degale. degale is far too lazy to live with the pace froch would set

A fighter needs big fights.
Degake is fighting fringe world class opposition at the moment. Give him a big fight and he brings his A game like he did against Groves and the Olympics.

Watching this in a pub with no sound. Won't be able to hear the pearls of wisdom (aka drivel) coming from Jim Watts mouth. Bonus!

Honeymoon period over. Some bright sparks asked for the sound to be turned on. How long til he says, "Ricky needs to throw puncheees in bunches against this guy, single shots will not get the job done"
